- MMyravipWashington, D.C. Area •41 reviews5.0Dined on 28 Oct 2024The food, the presentation and the wait staff are all excellent. The scallops, the swordfish, the lamb shank main courses were beautifully prepared and presented. Creamed spinach and mushroom side were perfect accompaniments. Oh, and the desserts!! The beignets, the cheesecake tower and the almond joy….perfect endings. The location just added to a perfect birthday celebration. - AAndrewNew York City •5 reviews5.0Dined on 22 Oct 2024I made a reservation at Barca (on the pier) with a group of coworkers and professional colleagues on a particularly nice October evening. The reviews were stellar, and the restaurant did not disappoint. The ambience of being on a pier over the water—and seated just before sunset—was simply incredible. Cocktails and tapas were served promptly and everything was delicious. DO NOT SKIP THE CROQUETTES. They are a must, as are the whipped goat cheese and babaganoush (get extra pita though), the steak with chimichurri, and the potatoes. Barca will forever be one of my go-tos every time I'm in Alexandria.More infoBarca Wine Bar & PierPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• Old Town Alexandria•4.7
