We have a 100 item menu of a la carte charcuterie (works like a sushi menu - choose your own adventure!), small plates and tapas, fresh local breads, and full-flavored homemade recipes. We are extremely sensitive to food allergies and restrictions, and most items on our menu can be made gluten free, nut free, etc. We have vegan and vegetarian options, and are happy to modify our plates to suit your needs.
Our food is scratch-made, and slow-cooked. Southern faves such as Crawfish Etouffee and Red Beans pair up with ceviche, beef tenderloin carpaccio, and awesome weekly specials. Barbed Wire Reef incorporates the best of classic Mexican dishes, that the brother and sister owners, Rico and Flor Aragon, grew up loving in Mexico, adapted with American taste in mind, making the menu both crave-worthy and one-of-a-kind at the same time. The design was inspired by the two’s childhood and continued extensive travels back to Mexico. Ceramic oversized tiles behind the back bar emphasize the architecture found throughout Mexico City. The lush vegetation growing inside the restaurant and throughout the patio, remind guests of a modern resort stay in Tulum. Hospitality is at the core of the brand, the mission is to create an experience you would have in Mexico, dining at someone’s home with a gracious host.
