Nice ambience, however the noise level was quite high, presumably due to the small room and the relatively low ceilings. The food was lovely but some of the meals were quite small (cream cheese and spinach ravioli).

Scrumptious chocolate scones and mouthwatering finger sandwiches such as finely-sliced smoked salmon on beetroot bread are accompanied by a gloriously long tea list, or perhaps an indulgent glass of Champagne.

We've been to maybe 20 afternoon teas all around London. This is still the best one, value for money. The reason I say that is that Parlour doesn't serve the boring finger sandwiches. Everything there is seasonal and handcrafted. We've been twice around Christmas, and this was our first time in the summer, so the menu was Italian-inspired. Also, I'd like to highlight the amazing service we've received from Avalyn. Parlour always had the highest standards.

We had a fabulous pre-theatre dinner on a visit to London from Canada, consisting of crispy duck salad, tofu with mushrooms, silver cod & fried rice. For dessert we had symphony #3 made of 3 desserts presented on a tray with liquid nitrogen swirling in a cloud. The food was outstanding both in quality & presentation. The desserts were an unexpected surprise and fitting ending to this superb meal. The service was very attentive and unobtrusive at the same time. Servers stood by waiting to fill our glasses with water & clear away dishes when appropriate. The lychee martini also deserves a special mention. We highly recommend this restaurant located across from Canada House & Trafalgar Square & hope to return on a future visit,

It was our first time at Manzi’s, but we’re very familiar with other restaurants in the group, Zedel, Delaunay etc. Manzi’s was running a cabaret event, with a fantastic live singer and accompanying pianist, and a new cabaret act every 15 mins or so in the restaurant. From, singers, to cabaret performers and a close up magician performing for each table. It was a fantastic evening! The food and service as expected were top notch. We didn’t realise the event was on, but when they run another one we’ll be there in a heartbeat! 5 stars!

But there are some innovative creations coming out of the kitchen too. We recommend trying some of their excellent seafood dishes like grilled tiger prawns with lemongrass and lime dressing. About the restaurant
Vasco and Piero opened the restaurant in 1971. Vasco and Piero created the restaurant out of a passion for good, uncomplicated Italian food. The making of fresh pasta on the premises has always been a priority. From the outset, the menu changed twice a day, a tradition which still continues.
Vasco was born in Umbria and as a result of this many foods are sourced direct from farmers in this region. Particular favourites are truffles, wild mushrooms, seasoned cheeses and cured meats such as lombetto and capocollo.
We only use the best quality extra virgin olive oil mainly from Umbria, Central Italy.
Many of our hams & salames such as Lombetto (a cured loin of pork) are imported from local Umbrian farms.
When in season, we import black & white truffles from hunters around the hills of Umbria.
Our balsamic vinegar is from Modena. We use Maldon sea salt with pure flaky crystals.
