About the restaurant
With both gay staff and customers, this Italian restaurant will be a welcoming place to dine during Pride Month. Sharing the name of a volcanic island called Ischia (pronounced ISS-key-ah) 30km off the coast of Italy in the Gulf of Naples, it serves wood-fired pizzas (including by the metre!) and traditional Italian cuisine, including antipasto plates, Caprese salad and pasta. Its main menu features Pollo Saltimbocca (pan fried chicken medallions) and Scaloppine ai Funghi (pan fried veal medallions with champignon mushrooms in a creamy sauce).

About the restaurant
Every Thursday this venue in Darlinghurst Rd hosts a super fun gender diverse bingo night. It’s set to be even bigger during Pride Month. The recently refurbished hotel (previously the Sugarmill Hotel) is a modern Australian pub with a strong food focus. Meats in its smoker menu, which includes BBQ glazed pork ribs and beef brisket, are smoked for up to eight hours. Other dishes include fried chicken burgers, crispy skin salmon and pepper lime squid, which can be washed down with boutique beers and cocktails. Its Sweethearts Rooftop is a great place to hang out before or after your meal.

It was recently decorated in rainbow colours for IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia). Styled by renowned artist and designer Christo Gillard, the Little Lonsdale St noshery is an intimate venue with 19th century bluestone walls and a homely courtyard. Its menu includes chicken and feta meatballs with slaw, vegetable Thai Panang curry with coconut rice and peanut sambal, confit duck with chard, sweet potato mash and a blood orange spiced jus plus a 12-hour slow-cooked lamb shoulder.
