Our two-story fish emporium elevates the 40-year legacy of our original location in Chestnut Hill (a few doors down from where we are now). Here we feature a large raw bar, open kitchen and glass-enclosed lounge. In warmer months, we retract the lounge’s glass walls and ceiling for drinking under the sun or stars. And we open our patio, overlooking Hammond Pond, for al fresco dining. Join us upstairs at our restaurant or shop our fish market on the first floor.

In 1985, at the young and ambitious age of 24, Steve DiFillippo purchased a locally-owned family restaurant called Davio’s on Newbury Street in Boston’s trendy Back Bay. As Boston’s culinary tastes evolved, he transformed the location into a destination. He retooled the menu, the space, the wine list. The new Davio’s soon garnered rave reviews. The idea behind Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse was simple, regional Italian foods with a focus on the grill.Everything made by hand from the best ingredients. Serve everything from aged steaks to simple-yet-unique pasta creations. Mirror this philosophy in the kitchen with our expert and attentive staff in the dining room, seeing to your every need and taking pride in your enjoyment of the meal. Steve has since opened locations in Foxborough, Lynnfield, Logan Airport, Boston Seaport, Atlanta, King of Prussia and The Colony, Texas.

Discover Chestnut Hill

One of the unique claims to fame of the village of Chestnut Hill is that it encompasses sections of three separate Massachusetts towns and cities: Newton, Brookline and even a bit of Boston. In much the same way, a multitude of world cuisines come together in Chestnut Hill. Whether you want Japanese sushi or Mexican tacos, Chestnut Hill has it. The neighborhood's Italian restaurants are largely upscale places that serve steaks alongside their pastas.
