First visit post-pandemic lockdown (several pre-pandemic visits). Never disappoints. Excellent service. Creative food. Seafood was slightly overcooked, hence only four stars.
My wife had the steak and eggs from the brunch menu. She raved about the steak and how much she enjoyed the entire meal.
Great food, appropriately spaced tables, and really good service. A great place to kick off or end a stroll on the W&OD trail which runs right behind the restaurant. Don't miss a chance to try their Sunday Brunch menu.
Great meal outside with heaters and quick service. The bartender made off the menu Mill favorite cocktails for us and the fish and burger were great!
We had a lovely afternoon and delicious food.
We love Mags! Service and food were exceptional always a great experience.
All the staff were very professional and gracious. The service was exceptional. All of the food was delicious and very nice presentation.
Our seats were comfortable and the atmosphere is charming.
Great food and service! Amazing Sunday alfresco dining!!!
Magnolia's is a well-made treat, though not as polished as it has been in the past.
The food had great flavor. Scallop appetizer was our favorite dish of the evening - well balanced, well cooked. Osso busco was delicious, though the veal was overcooked and the sprouts were undercooked. The prime rib special was well flavored though half was very tough, and the other half was perfect. Asparagus and potatoes were both executed well. Ordered cheesecake for dessert, though due to service issues we ended up getting it to go.
Service was hit or miss. Our server was very attentive at first, but when we asked for an extra minute between ordering the appetizer and entree we got about 15m. In fact, our appetizer came before he came back to get our dinner order. Service was well-timed for the rest of the meal until he brought dessert menus. He said he'd give us a minute to look over the options and again disappeared for 15+ minutes.
All in all, we had a nice evening. The cocktails were tasty, and the ambiance is very pleasant. But we're on the fence as to whether we'll return for another $200 meal given some of the above.
Magnolias at the Mill never disappoints. Our meal was worth every penny! The only complaint we had was that the serving of wine was quite small for the price. Even so, can't cut off a star for that, the overall experience was that good!!
The food was delicious. The service was excellent.
I hope that you will bring back the cheesecake filled beignets.
Will definitely return.
The food and service at Magnolias are always top notch. Can’t say enough about their food.
My bf and I were in town for the wknd an air bnb I picked this place before we went and it was as wonderful as I’d hoped. Service was impeccable. Food delicious. Highly recommend.
Our server Morris was amazing. He went above and beyond to help in any way
I love going to this place. Amazing food and incredible service. Their Fried Chicken is just fantastic and make sure you save room for the Guinness Spice Cake!
We ate outside and it was lovely!
The food is eclectic and super delicious. We had shrimp and grits and a buffalo burger and both were superb. Servers were friendly and professional. We WILL be back.
The scallops and shrimp were outstanding. Our server was very attentive. Outside dining was comfortable with heater.
The gluten free pizza was delicious. It would be nice if there were some vegetarian sandwiches on the menu.
Food and Service were great. They sat us in the outside room in the corner which was relatively quiet but not in the Historic Mill part of the restaurant which we would have preferred and why we
Three of us had: onion soup, mushroom bisque, roasted beet salad, shrimp & scallop w/risotto, eggs benedict w/steak, and the chambord french toast. Everything was delicious, although it was almost too much risotto (as if there is such a thing).
Great find. Food and ambience is on point. Pics don’t do it justice. Service was top notch and farm to table menu was to die for.
Food and drink were exceptional. Menu has plenty of variety with much of the fare locally sourced. $$$$
We had a very nice dinner with our teenage granddaughters. I was a little disappointed that nothing was mentioned by the restaurant about it being a birthday celebration since I included that in the reservation. The service was very good as well as the meal but I feel that the prices are so high that we can only visit for a very special occasion.
One of the best Restaurants we have ever been to!!
Great food and service.
Thank you.
The food (and cocktails) at Magnolias were impeccable. Every dish that our table ordered was of the highest quality, made with fresh ingredients, and lip smackingly good! We will 100% be returning!
Loved the background music and service by Christina was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We will definitely return.
Another fine meal with excellent service. Our server Cassedy was helpful but not overbearing. The lunch was lovely.
The waiter read the specials to my friend and I. I asked for the salad with fish that was one of their specials. What I got was NOT the special. The waiter said it was a misunderstanding in the kitchen. He did not offer to fix it. I did not receive any kind of credit. It was my friend's birthday so I didn't want to make a fuss. I was surprised that I was not given the right food nor a real apology but just an excuse of it was a misunderstanding. It was someone put in the wrong order or someone made the wrong order, not a misunderstanding. The kitchen cooks what is asked for. And management didn't come to apologize and offer any kind of anything. Disappointed. Expected more for a $6p lunch for 2 people.
First time dining at Magnolia and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was quaint, the food was delicious and the service was fantastic. Will definitely go back again and again.
Our first time visiting and our experience was absolutely wonderful.
Will definitely be coming back
Amazing dinner! Will definitely be back
Amazing. This was our first time but we are already excited to come back.
We’ve been going here for years and it is always excellent!
My first visit was underwhelming when I first moved to Purcellville. My last visit things had drastically improved which led to my wife wanting to make a trip for her birthday. As a side note, I cannot recommend the Mr. Brown cocktail enough - I would love to have the recipe
Lots of great gluten free options. The food was so good and had so much flavor. I definitely recommend the Ideal Husband cocktail with the jalapeño vodka. My new favorite restaurant.
