I have dined here many times with the food being consistently very good to excellent. The service is always quite variable.
Most in our party wanted the lamb chops which never fails to delight. The orzo with mushrooms is also always excellent and feeds a vegetarian as well.
We started with the traditional mixed plate of appetizers, which include hummus, tzatziki, eggplant dip and fish roe dip. Plenty of hot freshly baked greek bread is served with this platter.
It is the service that is always variable. Some visits we are served and attended nicely, while others, not so much. This visit was the latter. After getting served, our waitress spent most of her time at the desk, not attending to our needs. It was quite a slow night and I would have expected better service.
The owner of the restaurant is the same as Cacio and Pepe in Aventura. The service issue rarely is a problem there, but consistently a problem at Alexanders.
