    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely incredible from start to finish. My wife and I visited Monteiths while in Edinburgh celebrating our first week of marriage, and without exaggeration, it was one of the best meals I've ever had. We both had the fillet steak and it was absolutely outstanding. I've had some amazing steaks over the years, but I would genuinely rank this as the best I've ever had. Cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and everything that came with it was just as good. Even the potato pavé was unreal. The cocktails were excellent too, but what really made the night for us was the staff. They were absolutely class. Friendly, relaxed and incredibly helpful without ever feeling overly formal or stuck-up. They actually took the time to chat with us properly, asked about our trip and what we were doing in Edinburgh, and even recommended places they thought we'd enjoy going afterwards. It wasn't the usual polite small talk you sometimes get — they seemed genuinely interested in talking to us and making sure we had a great night. The whole place has a brilliant atmosphere. It feels special and intimate without being pretentious, which was exactly what we wanted. The bill was a little on the pricey side, but honestly, it was worth every penny. When the food, drinks, service and atmosphere are all that good, you don't mind paying for it — and I'd happily pay it again. An absolutely fantastic night, the best steak I've ever had, and some of the nicest service we've experienced anywhere. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Edinburgh. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Wonderful little restaurant, don’t walk by like we did be watch for the little sign, it down a short close. Highly recommend the venison and the Sunset Old fashioned!

    My husband and I had steak it was cooked to perfection. We both agreed that the peppercorn sauce would have preferred in a small serving jug so you could control how much we wanted. We also had broccoli which was amazing but too much for one person my husband had mushrooms as a side again I think would be better for 2. The chips were amazing also a side extra. The pice was costly £172.00 in total. Which is a lot Overall an amazing meal. ♥️😁

    Food was incredible and the staff went out their way to make us feel comfortable after the table we were at wasn’t the best. Very nice staff and nice in the restaurant.
