We had the set lunch which was excellent value and very high quality. It came with a large selection of snacks before the starter and tea /coffee came with free refills.
The service was top notch, as was the food and the dining room was smart and simply decorated. I hadn’t expected such a great place - would heartily recommend
Initial welcome from front of house staff was cool and perfunctory. Restaurant was about half full at 7pm midweek. Waiting staff were more friendly and welcoming. Food for starter and main was good and tasty but not exceptional - no 'wow' factor. Desert course was singularly uninspiring with the most boring presentation of just a piece of pie - no attempt to dress the dish /plate. Somelier was excellent and chose well balance wine for our food. Overall not the standard that we were expecting from Angela Hartnett.
Fabulous, on my list of the best Michelin star restaurants in Mayfair
"Have what you like," said the waitress. Excellent advice and we took it.
The food was spectacular and the service was seamless. Not fussy but their team is a well oiled machine. It could not have been better.
Lovely food and the wine pairings were particularly interesting. I had sweetbreads and a souffle for the first time and was delighted with them. Plenty of room round the table so didn't feel overheard.
A lovely experience!
Great meal and service. Very small glasses of wine (125ml) way overpriced - approx 400% mark up. Subtle background music would have added atmosphere.
Fabulous meal and service, very simple delicious menu and very flexible, my wife had 2 starters I had 2 main courses
My sixth visit to Murano and it never disappoints.Whole experience is outstanding ,food of the highest order, friendly and professional staff, formal setting but never stuffy or pretentious. Will be back soon for sure
Amazing service. This was my first time at a Michelin starred restaurant and it was all I thought it would be. The food quality was superb. I will surely go back when I’m in London again.
Excellent food, beautiful ingredients cooked to an excellent standard. The hardest part was choosing what to have!
We loved every course we had, and the amuse bouche were excellent also. For desert they brought an extra plate to wish my husband happy birthday, a lovely touch. The service was excellent, maybe a little quick with tbt starters given the amuse bouche and lovely breads they provide but the rest of the speed was ok for us.
Personally there is something missing in the ambiance, I can’t quite put my finger on it but it’s what stops me from rating it a 5. I’ve dined here twice now and felt the same both times, perhaps it’s to do with the decor.
In terms of value, I like that it’s very clear what you’re going to pay for the food and when we asked for wine recommendations, we were given different price wine recommendations. Our drinks at the beginning and end were more expensive than expected, for a regular beer and coffee.
All good, as ever. Get the backs of the leather seats cleaned..they are looking grubby
Terrific food, no rush and knowledgeable staff. Great lunch.
A perfect evening. A lovely welcome, beautiful amuse bouches and a perfect temperature on a hot London night. The food was sublime, and the wine truly amazing. It’s not a cheap night out, but great value. Truly memorable.
We had a lovely time and the lunch menu was exquisite. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.
It was just the place to chill and enjoy lunch and wine whilst London sweltered in 33C heat...
Would highly recommend
Outstanding food, excellent service, and overall a really enjoyable experience.
Excellent restaurant. Great setting, outstanding service and food. The whole experience was fantastic with everything done in a quiet, friendly, welcoming way.
It was our first visit and we were struck by the sheer ambience of the place.
Dining from the fixed-price lunch menu which proved excellent value. Courgette and pea fritters with curds were the epitome of summer sweetness and crunch. The lamb main was spectacular and again expertly prepared and seasonal. The variety of cheeses was wide and perfectly ripe. Went off-piste with pistachio soufflé with chocolate sauce was light and indulgent. Super wine recommendations throughout. So glad we tried the Sardinian red which could have been four reds in one. Will be back soon.
Food exceptional but almost 3 hours for 3 courses at a weekday lunch was just too long
Went for Friday lunch for special occasion. Excellent food and wine. Round tables so can sit next to each other and very well spaced. Restaurant has lively buzz without being too loud. Would highly recommend for romantic occasion as well as lunch with friends.
Fully deserving of Michelin star. Ambience is lovely and staff welcoming but not informal. We had a table with view of kitchen - fascinating. Only one issue - I felt cod dish was too salty for my taste (still ate it all). Staff genuinely cared about this and could not have done more to demonstrate this even to extent of maitre d’ checking back with us. I want to go again
The service was great and the food was very tasty and very well presented, however for the price, even for a restaurant of this standard the portion sizes were small. However the apricot soufflé was amazing. The seating was comfortable and we did not feel rushed to order. Overall a nice experience but a little pricy for the portion sizes.
Quite good but not top rank - I am part Venetian & lived Rome 6 years, can think of many places in both cities way ahead in the product & taste .
Best food was dessert of one guest, mains generally acceptable
Nothing disastrous, nothing spectacular - a side light also fell off by our table & guest's macchiato nearly nudged into his lap.
If this is normal overall I would say needs tightening up
My wife and I set up informal but very fresh & just as in Italy, so may be I am too critical?
Crab risotto with unusual 2005 Alto Adige Pinot Grigio superb.
We had a lovely lunch, the food & Service were excellent. I am Coeliac but it was no problem to them -my food was superb
We had only been to Murano once before, some years ago, and had enjoyed the occasion immensely. However, because of the long elapsed time, it was with some trepidation that we invited a very special gues to join us there. I shouldn’t have worried!
The ambience was just as I remembered, elegant but relaxed dining with helpful and charming service. The food was perhaps even better than I remembered. I had pea and wild garlic soup, crab and asparagus risotto and turbot; every course an absolute delight. As we all had fish, we took a recommendation for a Soave, which proved to be delicious and just right for the fish.
Altogether a wonderful experience enjoyed by us all.
Consistently excellent food and service and a good selection of wines by the glass.
Our second time at this restaurant. Very welcoming staff, comfortable seating, house champagne a bit green but our other wines excellent. It's a really good idea that some fine wines by the glass are available here.
Our food was mostly very tasty and very well cooked apart from a crab risotto that was totally over powered by the pickled celery that swamped all the other flavours. we were not charged for this dish which was very thoughtful. However the abiding memory of our meal is the best almond and apricot soufflé you could ever imagine, washed down with a glass of chateau d'Yquem.
The service, meal and food was fantastic. The only down side was that we
Our only problem was that we were under a time constraint because we had to make our 2.30 slot at the RA. We had to keep reminding the waiting staff of this and were not sure whether this was passed to the kitchen. Otherwise, everything was delightful, including the staff. Would certainly come again!
We had the set menu for Sunday lunch; there was no choice. The ambiance and attentive staff were good. However, for a Michelin Star restaurant, the food was pretty average and wines very expensive. So overall, our experience was disappointing.
A super evening , excellent meal and service
Our wedding anniversary meal (with son) was everything we could have expected and more. The food was divine, the service was excellent. Have already recommended to several friends. Not cheap, but well worth the money!
Solid restaurant with a good menu. Mayfair classic
Great food once again. The wine list is surprisingly reasonable with a great selection of Italian reds - we had a 2015 Sardinian wine for about £50 and it was lovely. The noise level was unnoticeable (although one suspects our neighbouring tables might have a different view). This place never disappoints.
Excellent all round from start to finish, top quality food and service.
Great flexible menu offering an incredible range of tasty dishes.
The Murano is one of my favourite restaurants in London. The food is excellent and the service is efficient without being intrusive. The opportunity to select different courses according to diners' preferences is extremely agreeable.
Delicious food, beautifully presented in a calm atmosphere by knowledgeable and friendly staff. A perfect place for lunch (haven’t been for dinner but guess would be same).
Great lunch in a lovely relaxed environment with a selection of wines by the glass to compliment the food. We were well looked after by knowledgeable and friendly staff.
