Best restaurants near me in Haymarket, Grand Rapids / Western Michigan

We had a great meal at Rustica. Sampled mussel appetizer, entrees were the salmon, seafood spaghetti and gnocchi, all were very good. Great drinks and the service was outstanding. Makayla, our server, was excellent but the staff seemed to help each other as needed to make sure everyone was taken care of. Dessert was fabulous we sampled the tiramisu and the white chocolate crème brûlée.

Second visit to this establishment and it was even better than the excellent first visit. Unique preparations of fresh apps and entrees. Excellent cocktails, superior service, and a great vibe. I won't visit Kalamazoo without enjoying a meal at this restaurant.

Everything about 600 Kitchen & Bar was excellent. Upon arriving the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding! I had the grilled salmon and it was among the best I have ever had. Our waitperson Jake was excellent. He anticipated our needs! He was the best combination of attentive without hovering. He was warm and just the right amount of fun. We were meeting someone in person for the first time after spending a lot of time on Zoom and the atmosphere could not have been better. Thank you!

Cheddar biscuits are amazing! Social House is usually my go-to in downtown Kalamazoo, but I tried principle for the first time last night and it was AMAZING… I found a new favorite and will be going back asap! I wish they had a thirsty Thursday like WL social does though..

This is the best restaurant and our new Kalamazoo favorite! Our server, Austin, was phenomenal. We felt right at home. The ambience was perfect for our anniversary and everyone was so sweet in remembering our special occasion with roses and chocolate covered strawberries on the house. We will definitely be returning in the near future!
