It all started in 1992, when Annette and Gerner Andresen opened the Lighthouse Café in Sausalito in its present form. The Andresens, both born in Denmark, had recently immigrated to the U.S., and along with them they brought the Scandinavian flair for simplicity, good quality and tasty food.     We had a truly lovely meal tonight for my birthday. We were 4 people, and every one of us loved our meal, from cocktails through dessert. Our main dishes were the steak, pesto Gevonese, bone-in pork chop and the salmon. Noise level was moderate. I look forward to returning.

    We had a wonderful dining experience at Sushi Ran. The service the Sushi Ran team provides is excellent and with such care and sincere joy. The food was so delicious and beautifully presented. They made celebrating our daughter’s milestone birthday very special throughout and with a sweet treat to end the evening.

    I am in a social group that meets there every week. Recently, they seem to have gotten a new chef and the food is much better than it has been for the past year so if you’ve been there in the past and you were not satisfied, please give it another try we have the best waitress in the world. Her name is Sara and we love her. She makes her experience wonderful with her love and care of us. The view is spectacular and the restaurant is lovely
