When we got to the restaurant there wasn’t a table available for us so we decided to wait at the bar. Our bartender, Lizzie, was very charming and attractive as well as attentive so, we decided to have our dinner at the bar.
Taverna has an appeal to people who travel. The ambiance is one that attracts the eye as well as other sensory pleasures. Hearing guests at a nearby table speaking a second language is not unusual. The aroma of Mediterranean food makes the menu more inviting. A friendly oasis with welcoming staff.
Fabulous food and service as usual. Also as usual, it’s too dark and noisy. Also noticed that portions have gotten smaller and prices have either gone up or are unchanged. For example, the village salad used to be so much larger—-now it comes in a small bowl.
We went out for my parents 30th anniversary. I’ve heard great reviews for the place. We got a platter for two, a Sujik flatbread and a Lamb Shish. All of the dishes were delicious. Turkish tea and the desserts were awesome as well. The service was there on arrival as well. Throughly enjoyed our experience.
