Rickerby Retreat is a lovely venue, I was really impressed with the decor and view. I had requested a sofa seat but we were put on a table next to the window. Some lights in the garden outside would have been nice at this time of year. It was an amazing view on arrival but darkness soon kicked in and it was pitch black outside. The service, setting and food were all lovely. We didn’t have any hot drinks with afternoon tea and opted for a glass of wine instead. It would have been a nice gesture to at least get one of these included in the price of afternoon tea. I would definitely recommend and go back.

Good well cooked food in a pleasant environment . The St tag were friendly and courteous. A wider vegetarian choice would be good

The staff are fantastic! So friendly and helpful. We had a lovely meal on New Years Day. Food was delicious. Great portion sizes and lots of options to choose from on the Menu. It's a big place but has a warm cosy feel to it.
