Lechlade Restaurants

My partner & I went on a date to The Ivy Oxford after our only previous visit for breakfast, about a day after it opened. Part of the attraction was that the premises is formerly our branch of NatWest bank! No financial concerns on this visit, however, being rather older and wiser when it comes to managing money!! From a plethora of menus we avoided the Festive ones, opting instead for the Ivy Hamburger and the blackened cod from the Ivy Classics. We agreed both were delicious, having each sampled a bit of the other dish. The portions were ample and presented beautifully on the plate. Service was friendly and efficient from the moment we walked through the door until we paid the bill. We would recommend The Ivy to any of our visiting friends.

Lovely pub, we visited in the summer and it was lovely sat in the garden, this time for a winter visit it was cosy inside with the log burner lit and staff very friendly and helpful.

Another wonderful meal here, went for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed large portions, beautiful cooked meats, on the pink side for the beef and lamb, absolutely delicious sides of veggies. Well worth a visit

We had booked a late lunch for New Year’s Day and were very warmly welcomed by the staff who I’m sure we’re exhausted. The atmosphere was pleasant and we had a great table for our family group. Compliments to the chef …probably the best roast beef lunch we all agreed and the younger ones had the beef burger which was devoured with a lick of the lips for the bacon jam ! Just a tiny comment would have liked the veg to have been a little hotter. Great to have the Swan back in our village .

Food exceptional, the service in terms of timing could be a bit slicker especially when drinks are ordered.
