Here at the Hythe Imperial we like to honour this tradition by offering over 10 selections of tea, finely cut sandwiches, delicate pastries and freshly baked scones with clotted cream.
Combine the atmosphere with a great selection of Afternoon Teas to choose from to make an unforgettable afternoon by the Sea.
Please note that outside dining under our gazebos can only be arranged over the phone as spaces are limited.

Coast Restaurant are delighted to have received their first AA Rosette for 15 years! Enjoy the finest locally sourced ingredients served with simplicity and style, with menus that change with the seasons to reflect the seasonality of the produce we use.
Coast at the Hythe Imperial offers fine dining in an elegant and relaxed setting. Guests can enjoy modern British cuisine, using locally sourced ingredients that reflect the seasons. Dishes are never over-elaborate and always allow the quality of the ingredients to shine through.

What a vibe. This is a really special restaurant fronting the buzzy Folkestone Harbour Arm. Service is exemplary and incredibly friendly. Great ambience, the kind of place you'll want to dress up, but unpretentious. Food is truly exceptional. We went for the cheese souffle and artichoke soup to start which were really delicious, followed by the market fish option of a huge seabass stuffed with herbs and served with a delicious buerre blanc. It's quite pricey, but feels very reasonable for the quality - definitely a special place to dine, would heartily recommend.

The staff was exceptionally pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere was delightful with a pianist providing background music, and the food was reasonably enjoyable. I would definitely come back if I happen to be in the area soon.

Great New Years Day lunch with friends . Great experience from start to finish. Food and service was first class. Cannot fought a thing keep up the great work. Have visited on many occasions and never fails to please will definitely recommend to family and friends. Thank you for a great experience and Happy New Year to you all and all the very best for 2023
