We visited Hawksmoor for the first time on Wednesday eve 21.2.24 The restaurant and bar is located in a magnificent building, a former bank from the 19th century I believe. Vaulted ceilings with a central dome! Amazing.. it was busy and the staff were great. Very attentive and well trained. There was also a Sommelier on hand to assist with the wine.. The staff were definitely trained in how to serve however they all dress very casually, no uniforms and I thought this was great.. very relaxed. The menu is substantial and is based on Steak (lots of) and Fish (mainly lobster) but there is something for everyone on the menu.. Superb wine list and a separate drinks list. The food was excellent, delicious from starter to desert. We loved everything. Hawksmoor is not cheap but the menu is priced for what they offer… It is really worth a visit in my opinion….

Ate here on the opening weekend of the restaurant. When we arrived there was a big queue and would have expected to have been waiting but we were sat within a few minutes of arrival. The staff were excellent, very friendly and the service was superb. Went for the fillet with a side of garlic, red wine, and peppercorn sauce and couldn’t fault it. The steak was cooked to perfection and was very tender and the chips were seasoned brilliantly. Went back for a second plate! Ordered the le bouef cocktail which was very good. Will definitely be coming back in the near future. Could not recommend more! Ciarán.
