- AAmberSan Diego •5 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoMy mama and I were missing Spain after visiting last year and needed a fix and Teleferic did not disappoint! The front desk hostess accommodated our request to sit outside and the patio was lovely. We were greeted promptly by our first server, Ansel by him calling us “guapas” and he was so sweet and charming. He had amazing table side manner and made our wonderful experience that much better. But then he had to go on break and we got Sofia who was equally as attentive and simply a doll. Alone the food was exquisite but having such fun and engaging service really puts Teleferic over the bar. Now for the food. Ansel made a great wine selection of a Tempranillo that my mom throughly enjoyed and I got two of their signature gin and tonics, the Ibiza and the Galician and both were crisp and delicious perfection and generous pours. For tapas we got the Jamón Ibérico bellota with the shaved tomato toast (on Ansel’s excellent recommendation). We got the seasonal Calamari Yuzu which was lightly breaded and bright-so so good. The burrata bowl was to die for and the smoked salmon on top made that one of my favorites. We were getting full or we would have ordered a paella-both tables on either side of us did and we were jealous, but we were on our way to a movie so next time for sure! Lastly we got the wagyu empanadas which were divine but I would ask for a slightly bigger portion! Sofia treated us to a birthday surprise of a churro with a candle for my mom’s birthday and we got a slice of the burnt basque cheesecake (thank for recommending this Sofia!) which sent us to heaven-seriously save room for the cheesecake! Everything was wonderful including the entire staff so our hats are off to you Teleferic. Viva España and we can’t wait to come back!More infoTelefèric Barcelona - La Jolla$$$$• Spanish• San Diego•4.3

The chefs Shelly and Jack made some delicious appetizers, entrées and desserts. Our server Ohya and Craig from our last visit were attentive friendly and made our evening extra special We are brokenhearted to hear that the restaurant is closing this week however we’re looking forward to meeting some of these wonderful servers and cooks at Common Stock off 5th Ave in San Diego. I promise you won’t be disappointedMore infoCalifornia English$$$$• American• Sorrento Mesa•4.9
