Warm welcome… wonderful rapport between staff and diners … beautiful fresh fish… and other lovely dishes… thoroughly loved my mussels as a starter and scallop stir fry… both fabulously fresh and beautifully presented! We had the dragon menu for lunch , as It was my birthday we had a complimentary drink on arrival . Food was amazing , the decor is so beautiful everywhere, the staff were very polite and in exquisite uniforms. Excellent value and the food was faultless. I would definitely go back 100%.

Fantastic gem of a pub. Fabulous food. Recommend the new menu item, Maple and Bacon chicken thigh burger, fabulous. Also the Gammon egg and chips, great value.

Nothing short out outstanding. I visited with my three young children on a spur of the moment decision as I had read online that there was a free arts and crafts ‘thing’ going on at the venue. We booked and arrived and were promptly provided with our pre-reserved table with high chair included (as indicated in my booking) or the option to move to another table as I had a double pram and would take up space. I opted to move to a booth as it was away from other guests and kids can be kids. We ordered three kids dishes and I ordered the Roast Beef. I asked about the arts and crafts and were informed that it was taking place in the garden so, once food was ordered, we investigated. It was apparent that this was a well known extra for locals to the area as there were plenty of families with children outside. My eldest two enjoyed drawing and making masks and I followed my one year old around who toddled about knowing the staff working the crafts table were supervising my elder two. When food was ready we returned to the table and I’m not exaggerating when I say the Roast Beef is the best roast dinner I’ve had that I can remember. It was a great size and simply tasted incredible. The kids enjoyed their 2x cheeseburgers and 1x chicken fillet respectively. We ordered desserts and the kids polished those off and I had an Eton Mess (which was a tad cream heavy as my only drawback) but otherwise really nice. We then went back out to do some more crafting. Staff were super friendly and it felt like nothing was too much trouble. As I say we’d never been there before but have already encouraged my wife with us all returning and going back another day. Really really good.
