The vegetables are tasteless and not special, the aubergine, the tomatoes and comcumbre enz not enough flavour. Disapointing.
The duck was good, but everything to expensive for what you get.
Pre theatre dinner was excellent and served speedily which was perfect to as we were a little late. All the staff were extremely friendly. I guess my only slight criticism is that wine by the glass is only sold in 125ml measures.....
Unfortunately I won’t be recommending. Flavours were very bland - maybe it was a bad night? Not worth the hype.
Nope was a pure delight! It was recommended by a friend, at it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance, smell and vibe of the restaurant was fantastic. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The food was a delight! Highly recommend it.
I am a food lover and try to make the dining, culinary, food and drink experience a part of my travels. This was my first trip to London and in my research for reservations, I had happened upon Ottolenghi originally, but my former boss and good friend highly recommended Nopi. What a savory delight and fantastic meal for our last night in London and pre-Book of Mormon. Excellent service as well.
The room, service and food were all excellent! This was our first time to visit an Ottolenghi restaurant. We would definitely come again!
One of the best foos you can eat in London bar none.
It was all amazing. The food, the details of the interior. The value.
Oh dear. So looking forward to our meal (we have the cookbooks) but a complete disappointment. Poor service, poor atmosphere, expensive for what it was and, most damagingly, the food was sub-standard. Indifferently cooked, badly served and, at best, lukewarm if not actually cold. Mr Ottolenghi needs to pay a 'secret diner' visit or get a trusted friend to do so. I do not believe that he would wish his name and reputation to be associated with this fiasco.
Everything was outstanding from the drinks to the food to the ambiance, but the service at the bar outshone them all!
Great atmosphere. Stunning food, great service. Went for lunch on a Saturday at peak time. Service was swift and helpful. We outstayed our welcome and were politely moved on.
My family and I had a very enjoyable experience at Nopi. Notable was the seared squid and milk and cookies for dessert.
Overall very lovely! The staff is very accommodating and welcoming. The space is very lively, sometimes a little loud, but everything else was very positive
Lovely meal, great service we enjoyed it very much
Lovely meal, attentive and friendly service, very enjoyable.
Excellent food served in a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back for another serving!
Wonderful in every way! Amazing flavours and wonderful food combinations . Love the relaxed atmosphere with a little buzz in the air of people having a good time .highly recommend.
Nopi is my favourite restaurant for many years and it still is :)
Thank you for existing!!
Very tasty ! I went with a friend who has to follow a gluten-free diet and the waiter swiftly substituted the menus so we could see easily what was GF. It was a pleasure being able to share the variety of dishes, but would be hard to choose which was the best. Will definitely go again.
Lovely food, atmosphere, menu and service! Will be back!
Excellent service - not rushed and very attentive - and excellent food
We loved Nopi! We were visiting London From nyc so we are used to good food and nopi surpassed our expectations! The food is creative , filling and just absolutely delicious! We sat at the bar and felt comfortable and not rushed. We hope to return one day!
Amazing food as ever. Brilliant service. We loved it
Great service, extremely friendly staff, a bit too noisy for my personal liking, only tried some starters which were good, and dessert which was great.
Food is incredible....loved all of the fresh ingredients!
I was VERY disappointed. I have had the pleasure of eating at Ottelenghi's in Islington 3 times and very excited about exploring Nopi with a good friend who does not usually eat such interesting food. The ambiance felt fake and cheap and loud. Fellow diners were young and rich and trendy. The waitress was tired impatient to go home and unpleasant. The food ranged from non-memorable to tasting like it had been cooked in a LOT of OLD oil - including the heavy unimaginative chocolate desert!
I am hopeful that the disappointment of this experience does not imply that the quality of Ottelenghi's in Islington has also slid; it has been a number of years since I have eaten there and SO wish I had chosen to go there instead on this occasion!
I should have paid attention to the review by a food-writer who was disappointed as well. But I had no idea it would be this bad and the service so fake and unpleasant. The menu was not particularly inspired either really.
Food is over-rated and expensive. Environment too loud and noisy for conversation.
My partner and I have now been to NOPI three times and have never been disappointed.
Although the menu is not extensive the food is amazing.
We usually try the sharing plates and a fish dish which is ample.
The staff are extremely polite and attentive and nothing is too much for them.
The waiter recommended an lovely bottle of Italian white on our last visit which was fantastic ( albeit a little pricey ).
Absolutely incredible food and service. My favourite restaurant in london.
We all had a brilliant meal but at times the noise level was so bad that it was hard to hear our fellow diners.
I would love to go again but at a quieter time!
The food was incredible, the atmosphere was great and the staff were lovely and very attentive. Thank you!
Fabulous from the moment we walked in to the moment we picked up our coats from coatcheck. If vegetables always tasted like this I would be much slimmer!
A special experience with a wonderful meal. My recommendation would be to try and share many small dishes. The combination of spices and completely different ingredients is simply grandiose.
I can't praise this restaurant enough. The atmosphere, the food, the service... all exceptional. Would highly recommend!
Really good interesting food and the staff was wonderful. Also ate in a reasonable amount of time
Had been to Ottolenghi Islington and loved it so was looking forward to this. The noise is awful. Could not chat. The food was lovely but expensive. Some fishes fab but £11 for a plate of plain steamed green beans, really no herbs, lemon juice, anything, was a step too far. Sad that it was not what I hoped for.
The table we were sitting was not the best, so it was crowdy. the staff was in one word: excellent. They were all in a good mood, although it was very busy!
we had a sort of tapas for 4 people, we shared all the plates. the food was also very good.
The only minus was the wine. I made the choice, so no one else is to blame ;) (so don't take the primitivo)
Fabulous food, service and atmosphere
Overpriced pretentious food.
It was suggested I go by quite a few people it lived up to the hype!
