Bryn's modern British menu is an innovative marriage of textures and flavours that reflect his personality and heritage: dishes are created using the finest produce sourced from his native Wales and the rest of the UK.
Lunch and dinner is served seven days a week in the Odette's split level dining room, walled garden and terraced seating area.
Nice relaxing Sunday lunch for a family birthday - lots of food, wine, story telling and laughter - thoroughly enjoyable!
This was our fourth or fifth visit and the standard is always 5star.
Very good value for Sunday lunch.
We booked for 6.30 to take advantage of the winter offer of 3 courses plus a glass of prosecco for £35, which was such good value we added a bottle of wine. Excellent food and service and we will definitely go back next time we are in London.
Careless service distracted from excellent food
IF you managed to get the waiters attention you MIGHT receive what you had requested in quite a leisurely way. Asking twice or thrice worked! and any request for salt was not supplied. Such service distracts from the quite excellent cooking and the conversation and meant that I left irritated and wish I had gone somewhere that wasn't so pleased with itself-deservedly for the kitchen.
The food was certainly very good, but given the reputation of Bryn Williams, and of the restaurant as an absolute local classic, we weren't completely wowed. The truffle risotto was a trifle too cheesy, and the slow cooked beef shin base to the excellent monkfish tasted a bit more like corned beef than it ideally would have. Overall a lovely evening, with some excellent service and some very good wine!
Thank you for hosting our party of 6 for my mother in-laws 70th birthday. Wonderful hospitality, exquisite food and delicious wine. We will be visiting again soon!
Dinner at Odette's exceeded my expectations. Our meal was exceptional and the service was sublime. Would I go back? Absolutely! Highly recommended.
We've been going to Odette's for many years and it never disappoints. A comfortable atmosphere and tasty, high quality, modern food, often of Welsh origin.
I recommended the restaurant to my friends and it did not disappoint. Everyone was delighted with the whole experience. We will be back again very soon. Thank you so much.
Flawless, wonderful cooking and service
Very impressed with everything from the helpful and efficient service, super food and the quiet and relaxed ambience of the restaurant. We will certainly return to Odette’s soon.
We have eaten in so many top restaurants and this has got to be Our favourite restaurant !
Highly recommend staff are so friendly and food is delicious .
Superb food, had the tasting menu with paired wines. Lovely staff, relaxed atmosphere. Will be going back as the food was outstanding.
Great for date night! Friendly staff, lovely and well presented food
Odette’s is a favourite for lunch. They do an amazing two course menu for £16.95 and the cooking is superlative. To think it would cost more at chains like Cote then Odette really does offer something special.
Great place delicious food and excellent service! We will be back for sure 😊
A fabulous late Sunday lunch. Great ambience and delicious food & wine.
Odette's was recommended to us and it was well worth the visit.
Lovely meal tasting menu with wine flight really lovely restaurant
Wonderful cosy restaurant serving outstanding food that is quality and creative but not fussy
A very enjoyable experience, will be back to sample the evening menu. Keep up the good work
You get a feeling of generosity that is missing in a lot of restaurants. I thought it was extremely good value, and I was pleased that I'd made the change from my usual Primrose Hill taverna. I couldn't help noticing how good the service was, although it was very discreet.
Odettes is such a lovely understated restaurant
I’m in the food industry so can be very critical with the quality of food
But they deliver on all counts
Service was excellent. Food was well presented and very tasty only let down by watery cabbage which was available as an extra side dish. However this didn't detract from what was a very pleasing Sunday lunch. They also gave us a little something for my birthday. Will definitely be returning in the near future.
Everything was Just Pert from start to finish. Many many thanks
I have visited Odette's many times and it has been consistently excellent: this time I invited friends to lunch on Sunday and I was disappointed by the quality of the food. We ordered their Sunday lunch set lunch: my pumpkin soup was beautifully silky smooth and delicious; the roast beef main was tough although the trimmings and gravy were nice; my souffle desert was probably slightly overcooked as it was dry....I didn't send anything back, or say anything at the time as I was with guests... on past experience I shall give the restaurant one more try as chef might have been having a bad day at the office.
As always the food was of the highest quality and the service discreet and perfectly timed. It was unfortunate that at the table next to us were too people more interested in consuming one another than in the food and the sight and sound of their kissing was appalling
Super delicious food from a ‘naughty’ chef. Service was excellent. We were in the downstairs room that was pleasant enough but the street level room looked preferable.
All in all however an great restaurant and we will be visiting again.
Had the 3 course lunch menu for £20. Very good value, include a small snack & bread to start & a little sweet jelly to finish. Main was on the small side but given the cost it’s understandable & I certainly didn’t leave hungry. Lovely beetroot starter & creme caramel dessert (highlight), braised beef was slightly dry.
Excellent service, lovely restaurant.
Great food, service and location. Venue was a little cold, draughty and lacking in atmosphere. It was our first time and so we didn’t know the restaurant lay out. We were told that “the library was full” so were sat at the front of the restaurant, alone, by the cold window and subjected to the icy wind every time the door opened. Food quality, and knowing now to ask in advance about seating, means we’d return.
I have not been to Odette's for many years, and now realise that I have been really missing out. From the moment (group of 5) walked into the restaurant we received impeccable service.
Knowledgeable staff who went out of their way to make sure our dining experience comfortable, memorable and made us leaving with a dining experience that you would have to tell others about. I have not been to many restaurants in London where you actually could not find anything to complain about - usually the noise levels are too high to enjoy any type of conversation, or the tables are too close , etc... but not at Odette's.
We sat in the split level area with a table on its own - WONDERFUL ! - and we still felt part of the restaurant, but the intimacy was so nice. Noise levels in the rest of the restaurant allowed you to be able to speak to others on your table with some very subtle background music playing... feel relaxed and enjoy your meal. I am a vegetarian and I had the vegetarian options from the set menu. 2 others from my group opted for the same thing once they heard what it was...
Starter - butternut squash velouté, slow cooked egg, rocket pesto, sage scone - and give it 10/10 . Gnocchi, for main and the amazing pineapple tartin - 5 stars. The dessert was so delicious I asked if I could have another!! - there was 1 left :-) .
Cooking from seasonal vegetables is something that makes so much sense and the flavours were mouth watering. We also ordered the fish and the risotto. No complaints - just praise.
We never felt rushed... so much so that we did not realise that we were the only ones left in the restaurant!! and it was 11:30 pm... Apologies and thank you for being so accommodating.
I am definitely going back before Christmas or early in the New Year.
See you soon.
Absolutely beautiful lunch, amazing food, a gorgeous venue and friendly - but not overly-friendly staff, and would go again in a heartbeat.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Most delightful attentive yet unobtrusive service, accommodating and cozy. Just a gem and would return in a heartbeat
We went on a Tuesday night and it was quite quiet in the restaurant, which was fine for us but slightly lacked atmosphere.
We both thought the food and the service were excellent. It is a really great, neighbourhood restaurant.
It is probably the best restaurant in Camden/Primrse Hill/Hampstead in terms of the food.
The food was amazing. All 6 of us enjoyed each course. The only negative was the wine. We ordered a bottle of Gavi only to be told that they only had one bottle. For our second bottle we ordered a Petti Chablis and when we tried to order a third they didn’t have any cold ones. Not really what you would expect from a restaurant on a Friday evening.
Really excellent and imaginative dishes. A bit pricey for what it offers.
LOVED our lunch here! Lovely staff, gorgeous food - the set menu is also great value. Will definitely be back!
Still my favourite restaurant in London.
We went for their 11 year anniversary set menu lunch on Saturday 12th October 2019. It was delicious, as expected, and such great value (as it always is anyway) but this offer meant it was 2 courses for £11, or three courses for £16. The pudding we had (chocolate mousse with raspberries and stout cake) was out of this world.
The staff are always lovely, and it's such a great little spot.
It was my husbands birthday so a special occasion. The food was beautifully presented but somewhat lacked flavour. Rather disappointing for the price.
The only negative was the table was diagonal from the doorway so there was a cold draft each time the door was open which was often.
We will go again but will request a table away from the door.
It was an outstanding dining experience
