Pacino's Ratings and Reviews
It was a very nice dinner for my best friends birthday. The lights were a little too low and we could barely see what we were eating but I see the mood and vibe they were setting in the restaurant. The waitresses weren't all that attentive, however the manager or maître d' that was on duty the night of September 6, 2017 was great. He was very friendly and attentive to our needs as well as others. Kudos to him. He is the only reason I gave the service score a 4/5. The food was delicious and we over all had a great time. I would definitely recommend this spot for nice sit down dinners or date nights.
We Booked a table for 9pm for 6 people on OpenTable; the restaurant called a while later to say they couldn't accommodate us at that time. We agreed to delay the reservation until 9.30, with the staff member saying it would be ready by then. When we arrived, there was no table. The lady dealing with reservations was extremely busy setting up other tables( not for us!) and just asked us to wait In the centre of the restaurant but didn't give a time frame on how long it would take. We eventually asked for any table in the short term and got a table for 4 whilst waiting for the other table to be added. We had to find additional chairs ourselves. We eventually got seated at 10 to 10, which for us was way too late to eat. As a positive the service staff that actually dealt with us when ordering were absolutely lovely and the food was very tasty. I just wouldn't depend on the reservation times at all and there was also just an assumption that we'd continue to wait as long as was necessary. To be fair, if we'd known, we would simply have booked elsewhere, but at that hour our hands were tied. It seems to defeat the purpose of opentable if the available slots are not actually available.
This was my first time at Pacino's based on reviews I saw on Open Table.
The service was good, reasonably attentive but not co-ordinated. Too many different servers were attending to our table, sometimes asking us the same things (e.g. "are you finished?") within 30 seconds of another server asking.
We were pressured to ordering our desserts because the kitchen was closing.
I left instructions with our main waiter that I wanted to pay the bill (while I was on my way to the men's room) but another waiter brought us the bill and my friend ended up paying, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid.
However, the staff were friendly, the prices were reasonable and the food was good.
Overall, we were in great form and had a good time there.
We loved our experience at Pacino's - we were in Dublin for 8 days and enjoyed three of our evening meals there. The food and service are excellent by any standard - the spaghetti carbonara and pasta bolognese were the best we've had anywhere in the world (literally). And, the pizza bread is a must try as is the Irish coffee. We can't say enough good things about this charming restaurant!!
I've been here several times and the food is always good.On this occasion I came with a group of friends and although I changed the booking on OpenTable and left a phone message the staff were not aware and made a bit of fuss when we arrived. It was fine in the end but could have been avoided. Our food was lovely and good value. The atmosphere in Pacinos is always buzzy and lively. Recommended (even in spite of the reservation mix up)!
This was a disappointing visit to Pacino's. The Pizza was dry and lacking ingredients - very poor and tough to eat. They had run out of goats cheese and other mains on the menu. The prawns and pasta were good but 3 prawns was just not enough! Good service and lovely wine but food shod have been so much better!
