Pollen Street Social
Amazing tasting menu!
Faultless service from first greeting to final exit. Attentive staff but not obtrusive. Cocktail staff friendly and efficient and the drinks themselves *best in class*. Food exquisite, worth the expense. Great place for a special occasion. We went for my wife’s birthday and she enjoy the complementary cake. Lots of business types in for lunch but ambiance was first class. Plenty of staff for the tables. Highly recommended for a special occasion or just a treat.
Amazing Restaurant. Loved it.
Great for a business lunch.
You just cannot fault this restaurant on any level, its superb.
Exceptional service, food and ambiance, one of the top 10 restaurants in the UK.
Very good service , food and drink but the noise are high.
Good idea take dessert in table near patissier.
Stunning food, service and location. Highly recommended.
An outstanding experience. Amazing touches for a special birthday. Highly recommend the three course lunch menu for incredible value given it's Michelin-starred dining.
Great tasting menu- wonderful food, each course a delight, accompanied by great wine introduced by very informed staff. Very attentive, but not intrusive service and great fun when engaged in discussion. All round a great night
Visited to celebrate a friend's 'significant' birthday; she was greeted by a birthday card and a lovely chocolate mousse birthday cake. Two of us had the set menu which was excellent and good value with great amuse bouche, palate cleanser and petit fours. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Thoroughly recommended for a treat.
Not the first time here and we were forgiven for being a little late. Pleasant service although background noise made it hard to hear what the waitress was telling us about the food. Mushroom soup very tasty although very salty, probably too much in it for my friend'said and my own taste. Rest of the meal superb as always and very good value.
Lunch: Really outstanding food, served beautifully, well-priced. As good as it gets.
Excellent food, well spaced timings and better value than most high-end restaurants
The food was as wonderful as ever but unfortunately the service was not as good as its has been in the past. We had to remind them to take us to our table 45 mins after our booked time, and the service during our meal could have been better.
Never fails to impress. Jason Atherton and his team keep pushing this busy restaurant, to the dizzy heights of the gastronomic world.
Ever evolving food with attentive service and relaxed atmosphere. What more could you ask for.
My wife and I had been checking out Jason Atherton's restaurants for a few years, but somehow overlooked Pollen Street Social along the way. This birthday trip did not leave us disappointed - the restaurant is tucked down a quiet side street of Regent Street, it has a brilliant and contemporary atmosphere, attentive sommeliers and staff and, above all, outstanding michelin-starred food.
Starters and mains were carefully prepared, while we received excellent amuse bouche appetisers - including mushroom and cheese tea. The mains were excellent, using British fare locally sourced, and followed with pettite fours and desserts to absolutely die for - particularly the Kent Mango ice cream; a work of art!
All the stops were pulled for my wife's birthday, including a cake and card. We're really grateful and happy to have found our favourite Jason Atherton. Well worth the visit...
Food was very poor, predictable and underwhelming. The pork main dish in particular was very unpleasant. Staff were good but the food was not worth visiting for. Hugely disappointing.
Excellent, special touches that make this restaurant stand out
We love this restaurant. We have been here four or five times and love it every time ! We ordered the set lunch. At £39 it was a bargain. Every dish looks great, taste great and great combination of flavours. The amuse bouche is wonderful especially the mushroom ‘soup’. Pettit fours are special too esp the Bakewell tart. Love the Pedro Ximenez the sommelier recommended to go with the chocolate dessert. Really hope they get the second M-star.
Exceptional!!! Perfect restaurant experience! Our sommelier was outstanding!
The plan was to eat from the set lunch menu, i was slightly aprehensive that we might be rsghed throuhg by opting for the 'cheap' option but that couldnt have been further from the tructh. Every part of our experience was beyond our imagnation, the service, the setting, the food, was everything you could have hoped for from a Michelin star restuarant espcially when it was our first experience of one. We will be back and will have no doubts or hesitation about getting stuck into the a la carte menu, well, unless we happen to be there at lunch time again...fantastic, i truly cannot say anything beyond that, a real treat in every sense!
Absolutely incredible experience. Would definitely recommend trying the tasting menu!
The food and service are not as good as Pollen Street used to be. Still nice, but not excelłent.
Loved it, although struggled to understand the waitress
The food was superb. However, it was a bit too noisy for my taste. I would revisit if it were a night out with my friends...but for a romantic night for two, maybe not.
Amazing as always great birthday celebrations with my wife
Amazing as always. Very warm in their reception. They made the experience feel really personal and always ensured that they explained everything from the wine to the food.
Lovely, lovely, lovely! What a fantastic meal, served with perfect timings by lovely staff. It’s no surprise it’s busy there, I would go again in a moment!
We couldn’t choose a favourite dish from the tasting menu, it was all very good.
Fantastic service and perfect food. Lots of little extra touches like amuse bouche, pre desert and petit fours all added to the experience.
Food was beautifully presented and tasted lovely- only slight criticism a) was my husband found a small bone in his partridge breast
b) Bakewell tart was slightly stodgy and not warm as we have eaten previously.
Wow! What an amazing experience. Food and service was outstanding. Already planning our return visit.
Had the cote de boeuf for two and the steak came with 40% bulk fat and 60% meat. Gave it a try anyway and the meat was incredibly chewy and rubbery, a huge disappointment after an hour wait for this dish. Complaint it to multiple staff including managers, only one actually took my complaint seriously whereas the others didn’t seem to take it seriously. They offered to replace it with another steak but it would take another hour to cook (it was 10pm at that point), the manager also insisted that the replacement would just be as fatty as the one we had, not very reassuring really. They also took ages to serve between dishes and we didn’t want to wait for a different dish. We barely ate the steak dish and took away the side dishes, suprisingly they wrapped the leftovers in foil, which is both not environmentally friendly and reminded me of some random takeaway shop. Very disappointing experience and I will not recommend Pollen Street Social.
I went with a friend for a set lunch and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. Service was exemplary - attentive without being pushy. Food was delicious with lots of extras which you do not always expect with a set value meal. Very impressed and will return when I can.
Pollen Street Social has been one of my favourite restaurants for a long time. I love all the little extra touches they add.. such the chef’s little extras before your starter and after the dessert.
Service is always impeccable and for me dining at Pollen Street Social is always an occasion.
It was exception we only had a main but with samples it was like a three course dinner out of this world
First time visit and ate the set lunch accompanied by a half bottle of red wine. Everything from ambiance, staff and menu was delightful
So close to five stars all round, but the acoustics - just a little too clattery - and the root vegetables with the partridge being over-salted (to the point of being inedible, and I am used to well-seasoned food in fine dining restaurants) mean that I can only leave four stars overall and for the food. But the remainder of the food was probably worth six stars rather than five, so should I forgive the carrots? Maybe... especially since the pre-starters and petits fours stand as some of the loveliest we've had in a long time.
The service was lovely, unobtrusive yet on the ball, noticing my glance almost immediately when I wanted more butter, our glasses topped up imperceptibly. All told, an extremely good lunch venue. Recommended. But, Jason: have a word with the team about the carrots...
We booked lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had an outstanding experience. The food was excellent (as you would hope) but it was the friendly and attentive, but not over-the-top, service from the waiting staff and front of house that made it a really memorable experience.
Food was absolutely amazing. Lots of different flavours...you pay for it though, I'd say worth it for a special occasion.
Superb food and excellent service. We visited as part of our anniversary celebrations and it more than met our expectations.
