Family-run Italian restaurant not owned by a multi-national company or named after a celebrity chef where the hardworking and pleasant staff have the same aim as you- making sure you have an enjoyable meal.
Numerous glowing newspaper reviews justified by a growing and loyal customer base. Lovely location in Merchant City- Glasgow"s beautiful and vibrant "cultural quarter" - within a very short distance from George Square, the Gallery of Modern Art, the Tron Theatre, the Ramshorn Theatre, the Old Fruitmarket and City Halls.
Contemporary Italian cuisine is served beside, of course, all your Italian favourites on an extensive menu which changes with the seasons. By contrast with many restaurants in this day and age, the head chef and second chef have been in place for 8 and 5 years respectively and have a combined restaurant/culinary experience of over 50 (yes, 50) years.

A great find in central Glasgow, authentic Italian restaurant with excellent staff and clearly the food is good as there were many Italians also eating here. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were happy and enthusiastic, the food was filling and well cooked. Would definitely return on my next visit to Glasgow.

A great location, good friendly staff and an extremely competitively priced menu. We both enjoyed our meal - although we have had better Italian meals in the city - the wine was good but Qua's main selling points were the atmosphere and the staff. It had a busy atmosphere with lots of hustle and bustle whilst still feeling cosy at the table. The staff were excellent - friendly, funny and very good at their jobs. So, its not the best Italian in Glasgow but it has one of the best feels. It was also not expensive at all. In summary I would return for a quick bite rather than a night out. Thanks!

Delicious meal. Portions were very generous. Had the Primitivo wine with it which was very splendid. Service was lively and charming. I stuck with classic Italian dishes and would definitely come back to try their specials.

A great restaurant that I have passed by many time but never visited before. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The food was very good, this is a family run Italian restaurant and it was a very comfortable and relaxed evening. I hope to visit again for lunch very soon.

Great place to eat, I booked this on short notice for a party of 4 and was not disappointed we had a fabulous meal the food was superb and are server Stephen was excellent . On his recommendation I eat of the daily special menu and it was the nicest Italian food I have ever had. Would highly recommend .

Found this restaurant on Tripadvisor. Rating fully deserved. Excellent choice. Authentic Italian cooking. I had the Qua pizza which was superb as was everyone elses food. Lovely table in window. Buzzy atmosphere - restaurant was full. Highly recommended - would definitely return

An excellent italian meal. Lots of choice on the menu. Quite a noisy atmosphere. Mix of couples, groups and families. Good value considering it is in a city centre. Probably need to book as we saw a number of people turned away on the night. I think you have your table for 2 hours. Would definitely eat here again.

A lovely evening with friends we haven't seen for a while. Great atmosphere and very attentive service from staff. Manager came round for a chat and explained the menu very well. The food was excellent and favorably priced. An all round great experience, will go back again when back in Glasgow.

We visited Qua Italian Restaurant as a surprise for my partner's birthday. It was an amazing experience from the moment I called the restaurant that we'd be late by 10-15 minutes until the moment the friendly staff saw us through the door. I would highly recommend this place if you wish to experience authentic Italian food and friendly service.

Was down in glasgow for a few nights with the Girlfriend. Was looking for a nice place to eat on our last night and came across Qua. As soon as we stepped in the door we were greated with a handshake and a welcoming smile. We were sat down and looking around you could see the place was spotless and looked great. The food was perfect, dont think i have had a better meal in a very long time. One thing that was also perfect was the cocktails, which after 6 each just seemed to get better. The staff were great and helpful and sorted out a taxi for us when we were away to leave and they werent pushing us to leave either which is sometimes what you find. The price was great for what we got and we will be returning on our next visit.

The main was delicious and the garlic bread texture was great but barely tastes of garlic. When we arrived the welcome was amazing and our mains came promptly but unfortunately as the restaurant was quiet, waiting 15 mins and then 10 mins for drink orders left us not wanting to wait for dessert which was quite a shame and a bit of a dampener on the experience. I would definitely try again.

A busy Friday night out with a table for four, at beginning restaurant was very loud, strangely improved as the night went on. Food was fine as expected . Staff serving varied from being friendly and helpful to disinterested and stretching across those still eating to take plates and continued to do so when asked not to. Been before and was similar. Too many other good restaurants about so will not be back.
