About this restaurant

Kid-friendly

191 Knickerbocker is operated by owners Chef Jesse Davis and his wife Rona Davis. With over 30 years of experience, Jesse applies his classically trained background to a pure concept of home cooking; applying technical skills to family recipes.
For instance, the West Indian Fritters and hot sauce are recipes taught to him by Rona's mother.
He's trying to make the best versions possible of global comfort food by applying learned techniques and methods to simple dishes that are cooked with love. Our goal was to create a menu that is accessible to everyone from all walks of life. Staying true to the love for home-style cooking and being owners who work here helped shape a relaxing and unassuming environment. It was important to have a sense of community in a neighborhood under rapid development. - Rona Davis

The place and atmosphere are cozy and comfortable. The owners cook for me and serve me by drinks. A very lovely couple . I highly recommend to sit down and talk with them if you can.
