   What a venue! It was my boyfriends birthday so we came to Manchester for the weekend. I booked a table at 20 Stories and mentioned whilst booking that we were celebrating his birthday. Upon arrival, 3 members of staff wished him a happy birthday, as did our waiter, which was really thoughtful and they brought out a special dessert for him. The venue and the views are amazing, the atmosphere is great - very vibrant and buzzing. The food was good, although for the price I wouldn’t say it was excellent value for money (I think you’re paying more for the experience than the actual food, it wasn’t anything special). However, the staff were great and couldn’t do enough for us. If you’re celebrating a special occasion, I would highly recommend!

    If I'm being super picky, I would say that with the generous amount of cakes offered there isn't really a need for two scones each but I would have liked an extra finger sandwich or two instead. Lovely afternoon though, and we enjoyed the view.

    We met friends and had the pre theatre menu. Beautiful place with amazing views. The food was perfectly cooked and presented and the staff were attentive and professional. Definitely would go again if I was in Manchester.

    Lovely restaurant with superb views. Traditional afternoon tea was superb! Lovely atmosphere but bar was busy and took a while to be served. Good service from staff but could have been easier to get there attention when wanting to order more food and drink.

    Went for afternoon tea, was very enjoyable and we were left very full. Absolutely stunning place and was able to go on terrace after food. Few negatives though: Was every expensive so expected a better selection of desserts and the toilets had shared sinks for male and female, so not much privacy for hijabis. Would definitely recommend.

    Decent food, our Waiter was amazing (her name was Monika if I’m right). I think her service has done most of the fabulous job. Rating would be lower if not her. Thank you.

    We didn’t have a drink at the bar but went straight to our table. The service throughout the meal was excellent. My starter was disappointing- the salmon, certainly not worth the money charged. Apart from this course, the food was tasty but overpriced. We had been given a voucher for the restaurant otherwise we would not have entertained paying these prices - although a lot of people seem happy to, as the restaurant was busy. It was a sunny day so the view was stunning and we had a lovely time, but probably won’t be returning. Seen that, done that!

    Lovely ambience, attentive waiters. Attended during early evening for nice meal, as leaving around 8pm crowd becoming a bit rowdy from the drinks. Nice halal options on menu - great views - would revisit for lunch.

    Had problems getting in because I was wearing trainers (I do understand but I'm not from the area and there was nothing saying no trainers that I saw, plus once I got in everyone was wearing trainers!) I'd booked a table so luckily I got in. We went for our table it wasn't a problem but the bar was so packed I couldn't get served. Went back to get the table instead which was ready by now. Took 15 mins to get a drink at the table, so parched by now. Got an excellent table with the best view in the place directly in front of the window which was amazing! I do thank you for that. Steak was chewy beetroot wellington was nothing special prices were extortionate. Service was impeccable by the waiting staff though so thank you to them. If you want a good Instagram experience it's top notch if you want to eat and drink not so

    Having previously visited the restaurant I knew the food was great. The thing that shocked me most was this time it felt more like a club than a restaurant. There was a DJ on the terrace playing very loud house music to the point you could have a conversation with each other. There was also a lot of very drunk half-naked teenagers and early 20 year olds in various groups of 5-6 people that weren't eating just drinking at the bar. This also meant that when we were asked to get a drink at the bar as we were 10 mins early we had to wait 15 mins to get served at the bar (once we could get near it) then take the drink straight to the table, so it was pointless. This really ruins the ambience of what is a relatively fine dining experience with spectacular views of the city.

    They insisted we ordered entrees vs starters and drinks only. We politely refused, paid for the first round of drinks on the table and left. There are plenty of restaurants in Manchester and the view is only special to locals. We refused to be bullied into a minimum purchase. If your a tourist in town for the day, don't bother.

    Greeting was excellent at ground floor, bar, host and first waitress. Cocktailmenu and drinks were superb. However, the second waitress was rude, insincere and not to the competence of the other team members we experienced. Put simply, she ruined our experience.

    Impeccable service never found myself waiting for food or anything the night was smooth from start to finish and would highly recommend. They also brought out a complementary plaque because it was out anniversary. The cocktails were also top tier and worth every penny

    The starters need some attention to detail- my mackerel salad had no dressing & my friends ham terrine was missing the remoulade. Mains and desserts were good, tasty.

    It’s a lovely setting and the gentleman serving our table was lovely. I had to send my food back because it was cold and the manager reheated it in the microwave and brought it back out 15 minutes later. When you are paying £32 for a main course, you expect a little more than this. The food was very average and extremely over priced. Much better places to eat in Manchester!
