   Arrived to find there was no dining room, you sat in the bar, it was -4 outside and something similar inside…. There was no heating on, when we queried this we were told it was on a timer, there was no fire so the place was baltic, other guests advised us not to take our coats off, we’d surely perish, they too had requested the heating to be told the same thing. We phoned another restaurant nearby and left the hotel, met the manager of the evening on the way out and told him the reason we were cancelling and again he reiterated the heating was on a timer, this all happened between 7 and 9pm when people would certainly be dining…..terribly disappointing, wouldn’t return there even in the height of summer, very bad management…

   Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. We actually went back the following evening to dine also as it was so pleasant. Young staff extremely helpful and cheerful. Can definitely recommend it as a great place to eat.

   Lovely friendly staff. Good choice of relatively uncomplicated food - however, really fresh and delicious. Homely ambience. Lots of space between dining tables creating a feeling of cosy yet private dining.

   The Food and staff at the Abbey Court were exceptional. I had the Roast Chicken with stuffing, my partner had the burger. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

    We had a lovely stay and meal at The Abbey Court Hotel. The service was excellent the food was lovely & the atmosphere in the bar was great ,we had some live music playing after 8pm. We had a great time and would definitely return.

    Carvery was very tasty and good value. Staff were lovely and made our visit very special. Live music which we opted to leave for but sat in the cosy reception area instead which was nice.

    We were seated straight away, food was so tasty, with big portions and came really quickly once ordered. Good social distancing and hand sanitisation facilities. Our waitress orla who also served us at breakfast the next morning was really attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this place.

    Top class service, beautiful food in a fabulous setting. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend a visit and can’t wait to eat there again. Thanks to Leanne and all the team in BUTLER’s Bar. The outdoor dining was a perfect.

    Felt very rushed, waitress was running, barely spoke to us, only had one menu between us as they had run out, ordered two fanta, only had one left, menu poor, everything with chips.
