    Another fantastic visit to our favourite Indian restaurant, travelled down from Edinburgh for a couple of days, no where comes close too proper authentic Indian cuisine food more than Akbars , served by Mahboob Ali a real star very knowledgeable and insisted I have my lamb charsi cooked Asian style a bit spicer than usual, it was perfect perfectly spiced. My wife’s masala fish and chicken and channa puri was so good. All breads are so fresh and tasty and not greasy at all. Wine list is very competitively priced. We will be back very soon, thank you Akbars.

    Tasty meal at an affordable price with excellent services. The food could be prepared quicker though. We waited an hour for our meals to be ready.

    Travelled over from West Cumbria to try Akbars and we weren't disappointed. Food was delicious, pleasant and attentive staff. Music was a little loud for our preference but not too loud that you couldn't hear each other speaking. Highly recommend.

    We were sat at a table by the main entrance, which wasn’t great, as we could constantly feel the cold breeze every time someone walked past or came into/ left the restaurant. We also didn’t get any Christmas crackers, when other tables had it, even though we booked a table for 2. The food was slow to arrive, but it was great, especially the large garlic nan bread.
