Co-founder and chef Jason Weiner creates seasonally focused ever-changing menus that are guided by a market driven ethos. We highlight our personal relationships with growers, fishermen, artisans and winemakers.
Our menus are artisanal and market driven featuring some updated takes on classic french/mediterannean cuisine, ethnic street food and lots of stuff in between.
We are obsessive about the handmade...We hang our own charcuterie, grind our own sausage, ferment our own kimchi, dry age own steaks, and smoke our own fish & bacon.
The wine list, handpicked by co-owner Eric Lemonides, offers an affordable selection of wines. Specialty cocktails, NY craft beers, and raw bar selections, along with the entire menu are available at the restaurant’s 25 seat bar.
Wonderful dining experience. Eric Lemonides and Co really know how to do it right!
Almond has quite eclectic menu. There is something on the menu for everyone. Everyone in our party enjoyed everything with one exception who did not like his entree. Of particular note was the Caesar salad made with Brussels sprouts which was terrific. We found the large charcuterie platter we ordered to be rather skimpy. Other than that the portions were more than adequate. It was loud, but not too loud. From the bar, the on-tap old fashioned drinks were great, as was the beer selection. I plan to go back!
A truly exceptional dining experience! The staff are friendly, well-informed, and attentive. The food was delicious, exquisitely prepared, and thoughtfully presented. This is the best farm-to-table restaurant I've been to in years -- perhaps because they were doing this before it was a "thing!"
enjoyed table, drinks, food, service and price. It could be a little quieter but, compared to some other places in the neighborhood, it was actually okay. Enjoyed it a lot.
The food is great. There is one server during lunch who is excellent. Aside from that person, the service is sloooowwwww. Waives go ignored. There's plenty of times I am profusely apologized to and/or given a complimentary dish. You cant besr the fact that it's a nice spot in a great location where you can hear the people you are with no matter how crowded it gets.
Live in neighborhood for my whole life. Came for sunday dinner. Place was empty and food took forever to get. Waiter was so rude for just an average neighborhood restaurant. Talked down to us like we were tourists. Too many other choices to come back here.
The food at Almond was fabulous! We shared mussels, truffle fries and mac and cheese and everything was mouth- watering. It's a popular bar spot, so it was a bit noisy, but the food alone is worth it.
Almond was recommended by friends for a brunch I was planning. All went well and I liked the restaurant enough that I plan to try it out for dinner since it is in my neighborhood.
Always fantastic, good service, good atmosphere and the food is delicious.
Party of five, with different tastes -- all satisfied. That's an achievement! The brunch menu has something for everyone and anyone, fabulous drinks, cool music playing in the background. It has an all around great vibe. Highly recommend it. Too cold for us to enjoy but there is an outside seating area also.
One of my favorites restaurants because the service and food are always great and it good for so many different types of get-togethers.
Delicious food, great service from the bartenders to the waiters and host. Great happy hour and a great meal from beginning to end. Can’t wait to go back.
Always a pleasure to meet friends at Almond. They don't rush you just to turn over tables. Food is always consistently good as well as service.
I absolutely love Almond Restaurant. The food is always excellent and the service is impeccable. I enjoy the menu selections and have made Almond my go to place for entertaining my friends or for business related engagements. The staff always seem to go above and beyond to make my experience at Almond memorable.
Consistently good food and reasonably priced. I’ve been here dozens of times. Good for upscale business lunch or casual dinner dining. Popular happy hour / afterwork scene so bar gets crowded but there is plenty of standing room. Solid neighborhood bistro. On a busy night it gets loud so request a table in the back for slightly quieter setting.
The food was wonderful. Order the lunch Fix menu.
Service was fantastic. Our waitress gave us great recommendations, and the food was delicious. Seemed like a fun place for happy hour and apps. Host staff could have been a bit friendlier, but maybe they were having an off day.
Fantastic dinner! We had the Buffalo Cauliflower and the escargot as appetizers.....both were amazing. Our entrees were great, and the service was impeccable. They make just about everything on site, and the quality shows. Will definitely be back!
The food at Almond is always good. The issue we've had on multiple visits is the service. The staff doesn't communicate with each other well and there's no clear structure to who is supposed to do what. That results in us having to ask multiple people for the same thing - such as a drink refill or a bread basket or the check - and apparently none of them knew who was supposed to do what. Given we've seen this multiple times it's clearly a staffing and management issue.
Almond is a very energetic, young and friendly place. The food is excellent, although not ethereal, especially the radicchio and endive salad and the rack of lamb. The only real disappointment was the lemon tart, which had a soggy crust. Also, tue coffee could have been better. The service is friendly, but a little hit and miss, and the kitchen was rather slow—although we did go on a Saturday night.
I had the salade niçoise and it was really good! What I like the most is the space, it’s not too loud, you are not too close to other tables it’s not like most restaurants in NYC. It gives you privacy and you don’t have to yell to be heard, it is actually relaxing, the staff is really nice and not pushy. The food is very good, and they are some healthy options.
Was good.. the host was not the usual guy. I prefer the usual person.
Maybe just familiarity
And the server was friendly which was nice.
Got window seat which was fabulous
And food was great!
Grilled swordfish (in salad) arrived uncooked in the center -- that's not the way swordfish should be prepared. It should be fully cooked (unlike salmon, which can be served with a raw center). Server was very helpful in addressing this problem. I blame the kitchen, not him. Otherwise, food was very tasty.
Have taken multiple clients/friends to this restaurant over the last several years and many have continued to visit on their own as the food is very good.....However, I am most likely done with this place....as always I made a reservation ahead of time and arrived with a family member for a table of two. And the regular guy who works the front seated us at one of the worst tables in the place, never asked if it worked for us, just threw down the menus and boogied.......normally I am chill about this stuff but in the next five minutes he seated a two with no reservation at an excellent table in my line of sight and then two more twos in close succession at equally desirable tables. And then the guy standing on the other side of the knee wall in the bar put his drink on the ledge right next to my head and started talking on his phone. I get it....I’m an invisible old 50 something lady taking one of my kids out for a quick dinner and I don’t matter to restaurant staff. This time I said something and the guy at the front acted soooooooo surprised that I wasn’t happy with my table that was almost in the bar and next to a waiters station.......perhaps he thought that due to my advanced age I am almost blind....;).....in any case time to move on, if I am going to spend $180.00 for a dinner that took less than 60 minutes I am sure I can find another regular spot that won’t treat me like a second class citizen.....
Saturday brunch was delicious with great service and ambience!
Almond was fantastic!! The food and ambience were incredible. Really loved their take on classic dishes, such as cauliflower buffalo wings. What a neighborhood gem.
Absolutely a great neighborhood gem! Met 2 girlfriends for lunch and had a wonderful experience. Loved our waiter! She recommended everything and we could not have been happier.
Thank you! We look forward to our next visit!

Service was super slow and food made me ill for the second time
Everything was great- highly recommend!
Food and service were both very good.
Everything was fantastic. Food. Service. Ambiance. ♥️
Great place for dinner. Atmosphere was fun and comfortable. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. I will definitely return!
Our new favorite local place. The food is amazing, the service is on point and the atmosphere is desirable! From NYC foodies they get a triple high five!
Up to usual standards. Good crowd on a weekday night.
This was our first time and we were very impressed food was delicious and the service was great. Our waiter was very attentive
Fun and tasty brunch!
Cool vibe, good food
