    Stopped in for drinks once and really liked the atmosphere so, decided to come back again this time for dinner. Unfortunately, the best part of dining was the drinks. Most of the things we ordered, had way to much hot pepper! Hot peppers and hot pepper seasoning are a great accent for flavor but, should not dominate your meal so much so, that you couldn’t enjoy eating it. Maybe it was a bad decision on our part for what we chose to eat but, everything had hot peppers included with it. Also, food all came out extremely quick, not too much time to relax in between courses. This could possibly be why our meals were just barely warm. Great drinks and nice atmosphere, but would not come back again for a meal. Had high hopes but didn’t come close to our expectations! Really disappointing since we were looking forward to trying it for a good pasta dinner out.

    Every meal we've had here is wonderful. Recommend: grilled octopus, Caesar salad, short ribs, branzino. Beautiful outdoor seating space, excellent service.

    Amis food has changed. Their eggplant chips are now soggy and tasteless. Charcuterie board  was a joke. Tasteless cheese ,olives from a bottle. Carrots cooked and carrots raw. Nothing to talk about. Main meals. Fish was tasty. Pasta both entrees were lukewarm with not much taste. Service was good. Food just ok.

    What a great gem in Devon! The ambience and mood of this restaurant was such a great surprise! Service was on point and our server was fabulous. I am a chef in the industry and I am usually hypercritical when I eat out. The food was the highlight. I had the chicken entree and it came to my table absolutely perfect. Put a smile on my face. My family had 2 pasta dishes, bucatini and rigatoni. Pasta cooked perfectly and the sauces were right in point. Thank you for a great experience!

    My recent dining experience at Amis Trattoria - Devon left me with a mixture of impressions. While there were some exceptional aspects, there were also a few areas that fell short of my expectations. The standout highlight of hte evening was the service. Our server was not only attentive and knowledgeable, but also exuded genuine warmth. It's evident that the staff share a close bond, creating an atmosphere where guests are treated like family. This sense of camaraderie truly enhanced the overall dining experience. The cocktail menu deserves special mention, as the drinks served were an artful blend of creativity and craftsmanship. Each sip revealed a unique combination of flavors, showcasing the bartender's skill in mixing and presentation. I found myself appreciating the attention to detail. Our choice of the lobster spaghetti, while beautifully plated, failed to completely satisfy our palates. The dish seemed to be missing a certain depth of flavor that could have elevated it to greatness. Additionally, the lobster itself was disappointingly sparse, with smaller cuts rather than the expected substantial pieces. This lack of generous lobster portions left me somewhat disappointed, as the dish's potential wasn't fully realized. However, while there were several positive aspects, there were a couple of areas where improvements could be made. The portions, unfortunately, left something to be desired. The servings were on the smaller side, which left my guest and me wishing for a bit more substance. Our choice of the lobster spaghetti, while beautifully plated, failed to completely satisfy our palates. The dish seemed to be missing the main ingrediant - LOBSTER. It was disappointingly sparse, with smaller cuts rather than the expected substantial pieces. This lack of generous lobster portions left me somewhat disappointed, as the dish's potential wasn't fully realized. The same critique extended to the scallops dish.

    Food is very good although portions were on the small side. We have not been since before the Pandemic. They have a really nice outdoor dining area. Not in love with our Server. She was rather brusque. If we go again, we would eat outdoors.

    My friend and I met up at Amis for an early dinner. This was both of our first time at the restaurant. I had the Branzino, and she had the Scallops. She said it was the best Scallops she's ever had. We were both happy with our meal. Our server/bartender Joe was awesome. The manager was pretty cool, too. We enjoyed it!

    Rushed the food. We were still eating salads and apps when main courses came. Food was average. My pasta dish was just “okay”. Definitely overpriced for the food and experience.

    Great food. Had the short rib (super tender and flavor) would of paired well with a starch. Lobster pasta (beautiful seafood flavor). Calamari and eggplant chips. Could of used more calamari sauce.

    Have been here several times and always loved the eggplant chips - but they were oily this time. Had to go to the bar to get service and to get the check. Between the service and the food it was a real disappointment this time.

    Rigatoni Bolognese had essentially no meat sauce whatsoever in meal. Also substituted wine one of us was drinking without asking if that would be ok. That wine was very different in taste then what we had previously been drinking.

    David, our waiter was phenomenal and knowledgeable about wine recs and dishes. We were a party of four, and we all praised his attentiveness and enjoyable personality. Highly recommend the grilled octopus and polenta!

    I typically like Amis and look forward to the food. for some reason, the food tonight was pedestrian. The meatballs seemed undercooked. The sauce on the pasta was like a strange gravy. When I had that dish in the past at Amis, the cheese was delicately melted onto the pasta and the black pepper was finely sprinkled. Tonight, there was cheese shavings but also a creamy gravy like substance (I didn't really care for it) and the black pepper was very course to the point I had to chew through chunks of black peppercorns. The wait staff was great.

    This is not the same Amis I'd been to previously so I'd sent a review privately to the restaurant but, unfortunately, heard nothing back. In short, the food was poor. The herb stuffed branzino was so heavily salted it was nearly inedible. The eggplant chips were soggy pieces of eggplant and the octopus was described by a friend as eating a rubber band. Another friend specifically requested that her salmon not be overcooked to no avail and she ended up sending it back. Despite the restaurant being sparsely populated, our waitress was fairly inattentive. We'd planned to order dessert but after the experience just decided we wanted to leave. I truly hope Amis turns this around because it was always one of my favorite restaurants.

    We arrived at 6:15 and left at 8:45 Because everything was a delay. We got a charcuterie board that had pickled vegetables, with so much vinegar they were inedible. We did not get our entre for over an hour, with no explanation from staff. Sauteed mushrooms we're doused With vinegar, inedible again. Seems like chef likes vinegar. I called in the am of the reservation and left a message about celebrating a friend's b'day at dessert. No on called back. I mentioned same to waitress, it never happened. Unfulfilled expectations. Amis moved to the end of our restaurant list for return visit. One star

    Everything was absolutely wonderful. I had the lobster pasta,  long and hots, asparagus( the peanuts were different, I’d rather have Parmesan on top) muscles, and meatballs. I wasn’t a fan of the pear cocktail, but that is all preference. My food and glass of Pinot noir was great!

    Service amazing! Lobster pasta not at all the same or as good as the first time. Meatballs cold but tasty. Calamari rubbery and mussels awful but sauce good. Chicken wings delicious blue cheese sauce too thick for dipping. Food consistency is a real struggle!

    So, Amis is a nice restaurant. Service was good. The food was Ok, nothing to write home about. We felt it was overpriced for what we got and compared to some of the other great restaurants in the area, it wasn't that great. Good experience but probably won't go back...

    This was the worst dining experience I’ve had. The service was awful. We waited and waited for food and then it was burnt and they had to recook it. They brought bread to the table for 4 when we were 7 people. They ignored us at length. When they finally brought the appetizers they spilled olive oil all over my brother in law. We were a group of very forgiving and relaxed people, but we were all appalled at the service and the lack of care about our experience. It was our first time and will never go back.

    The atmosphere here is lovely. We sat outside and it was very enjoyable. The staff was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the food was not great. My Moms lamb was impossible to cut with a regular knife. Even a sharper knife was difficult. My sisters fish was good. I had the scallops which were delicious but there were 3. Three scallops and 2 pieces of endive for $38.00 was not worth the price. Probably will not return unless the menu or prices change. A bit disappointing for my birthday celebration.

    A truly horrible experience on Mother’s Day., especially for the guest of honor—mom. Everyone at the table was able to eat dinner except for the mother of the whole family. It started with no friendly greeting or hello from our server to start, and then was followed by me having to flag the server down for anything we wanted from water to new plates to silverware, to drinks etc. Not only did it take 75 minutes for one Vetri mushroom pizza, but then the pizza never actually appeared. The manager promised it was next, then 30 minutes later, they said they actually don’t know where the pizza went and if we can even have one. Never in my life have I not been able to receive an entree, let alone just one personal pizza. This was a first. So, after 90 minutes on Mother’s Day, mom ended up with one slice of free bread, a couple of Brussel sprouts, a glass of water, and a fingerling potato. To pour salt on the wound, after an hour and a half, the server gave her a menu back and said why don’t you order something else. No thanks! We won’t be back anytime soon if at all.

    Crepes came out cold had to be redone, forgot one of the apps we had it as a side dish with the entrees, service was slow but nowadays you cant tell the staffing situation. Overall meh!

    We have been to Amis quite a few times and this was truly a bad experience. It started off with the complimentary bread being stale and literally only included a slice and a half of bread. We were not even given a chance to ask for more as the server whisked away the remaining oil and plate. It seems now the foccacia that they used to serve is considered an appetizer and they charge for it. The appetizer and entrees were served exactly at the same time. There was no chance to enjoy the appetizer without the entrees getting cold. The last straw was the bolognese was not even close to al dente. Definitely not cooked enough. Hard. And of course somewhere over the last year, Amis decided to not serve any of their budinos for dessert. That is a shame. They were wonderful. Not sure when or if we will return.
