Angelina's Ratings and Reviews
On arrival we were given a table directly at the front door so we asked to change if possible. We were told by the host that the restaurant was fully booked up and that wouldn't be possible ( even thought we'd booked our table too ). We also asked our waitress For a change of table too who replied with a very cheeky response.
Throughout the night however there were plenty of tables that were designed to fit a minimum of 4 people comfortably that weren't used at any stage during the night.
We then noticed a walk in table of 4 came in who were seated at a much nicer table then us, in the main area of the restaurant.
By the time we noticed this and all the free tables , we had already received our food so decided to leave it.
We all ordered pizza which was fine. None were exceptionally nice by any means and two of the girls found the bases to be quite burnt and hard.
A shame to have this type of experience as we'd heard such great things about the place. Would be very reluctant to return.
When we arrived, I told the host we had a dinner reservation for two. Oddly, he bluntly responded "we don't make reservations for the bar." I nicely repeated myself, and without apology he brought us to our table. The atmosphere and decor are lovely, the food is okay, but the prices are simply too high. I might give it another try but wasn't overly impressed.
Was a bit sad as we asked for an outside table but when we got there was told outside was booked. Kind of felt like saying yeah I booked. I still love it there but next time would ring to ensure could get an outside table that's the reason we went
A small mix-up meant that we waited some time for our food and drinks. But the staff were very apologetic and the food was great when it did arrive. It's a beautifully designed restaurant and comfortable to sit in. We all thought the heaters outside were way too hot though!
Great spot that is both good for both couples with cozy dueces and groups with several large oval banquettes. Amazing cocktails and pizza options make it great after-work spot as well as a place where parents can have a nice meal without picky kids being relegated to chicken fingers. Staff is smart, quick and friendly, food is amazing.
I booked the table on line requesting a quiet table, which we were shown on arrival. The waitress a girl from Croatia was outstanding, giving advice in a very cheerful manner. She clearly enjoyed her job and engaging with customers. She is a great example to others and a great ambassador to Angelina's. the food was served on hot plates, very UN usual, but appreciated.
I would go again and book on line
Would definitely recommend Angelina's. The athmosphere was buzzing, very relaxed.
We got three small plates
LAMB RIBS, CUMIN & CORIANDER, i thought these where a little sweet but enjoyed.
CRAB CROSTINO, AVOCADO MISO MAYONNAISE - extremely tasty, would get this again.
BURATTA MOZZARELLA, BACON JAM - very very tasty.
SLOW COOKED FEATHER BLADE BEEF - Amazing, melt in your mouth, would return for this alone.
VANILLA HONEYCOMB SUNDAE, TOASTED PECANS, SALTED CARAMEL SAUCE - lovely
Our waiter (unfortunately can't remember his name) was very helpful and friendly and his recommendations where fantastic.
I would return here in a heart beat, well worth the money.
We would like to thank Angelina's and the staff for a great expierence and hope to see you soon to taste more delightful meals.
Overall nice experience. Booths are uncomfortable and one member of our party had to get up and wanted to leave as booth was not comfortable. Bathrooms are the worst, should definitely be redone. Running water an issue in the bathroom the night we were there. Staff excellent - exceptionally well trained, really pleasant but relaxed and nice. There staff are their major asset. Food was nice - not amazing - but definitely not bad. Interesting selection. Salads could have been more exciting. Courgette fritters nice. Small plates, small but interesting. Good if you want somewhere that has atmosphere and your not so worried about the quality of the food. Selection of menu will be good for a large group.
The waiter was so patient and polite, as we were indecisive about the apple juice! (thank you)
However, when we went to the till to pay separately amongst our friends, the lady (short blonde hair) was not friendly at all and ignored our group of 5 for about 5 mins..
It is a lovely place, however. I will come back eventually when I run out of brunch places to try!
I had a pizza in there. Was ok ish. Wasn't great, it wasn't bad and did taste ok. It was overpriced though. I was with two other people who had the chicken and meatballs which they enjoyed. Angelina's does have a great atmosphere and the service was excellent. Been here before for brunch and that was lovely.
We had a voucher for brunch whuch we had won. We had a beautiful meal, my husband had the pancakes which i tasted and they wrre delicious and i had eggs and avacado as i was tryinf to be healthy but they were also delicious. Id go again
Visited Angelina's for the first time with a friend and I can't wait to go back! The service was exceptional as was the food. We had a lovely table out on the terrace and were loathe to leave for our appointment. We finished off our delicious brunch with a spectacular cocktail! Would highly recommend Angelina's for a catch up with friends.
The service and atmosphere was great but unfortunately the food wasn't. I got the Avacado toast with poached eggs and bacon. The eggs were hard and cold and there was virtually no avacado. My friend got the same and both dishes were equally disappointing. It's such a pity as staff and venue were fab.
This is the 3rd time eating here and I wont be going back, the restaurant wasnt busy and we were given a table next to a outside door opening onto a terrace so were constantly getting a draft. The food was ordinary. The ladies restroom was not clean.
We asked in our reservation for a table outside but when we arrived we were told they already sat there people so there are no tables for us. Food was ok, a bit overpriced brunch but the service was poor- couldn't get the attention of the waitress, got an order wrong and forgot another item
The restaurant itself is aesthetically very good, except for the floor which seems to have fallen between sections of parque leaving a potentially treacherous trip hazard.
The food was very mediocre. I had the Angleina, it was only warm in temperature, came out very fast after order and was clearly a re-heat.
The hollandiase was miserable, tasteless. Potatoes were soggy. Pork was tasteless. The staff didn't bother to question whether or not everything was alright for us.
Very disappointing for a relatively new establishment beautifully placed in the heart of Dublin 4. Not cheap either.
