   Real Brazilian / Portuguese cuisine prepared and served by talented staff. The location is off the usual tourist trail so the restaurant is quiet. These good people deserve success.

   The restaurant know as Apoema Bistro is now closed and it has give place to Alma Restaurant. It has returned to the former owners, that bring it to life several years ago and consistently made it one of the best in Galway from 2019 to mid 2022. You are all very welcome.

   Really lovely Brazilian restaurant in the heart of Galway. Not to be missed. Friendly & efficient service and excellent food. We had a really lovely evening. Great sangria too!

    We made the reservation online; when we got there the restaurant was closed, even though by the time indicated on their door, it should have been open… so we had to find alternative eating place… Obviously disappointed

    Let me tell you about APOEMA ! A one of a kind luscious and sensational neighbourhood gem of Galway city. Located at the top of Bóthar Irwin on the corner from TK Max this place is a must visit for anyone in the city or travelling to Galway, this need to be on your go to list! From services to the composition of the food on the plate to the taste of each individual delicious dish this place is magnificent. Amazing mix of traditional Portuguese food with a Brazilian twist to please the taste pallet of every single Irish from all across the globe. Excellent customer service experience personally got to meet the chef at the end of the day as the venue closed couldn’t complement him enough for how delicious the food was. I had the grilled cheese and guava as a starter but it was the pork belly and rice that really knocked the socks of me! Absolutely delicious Sangria ! These guy made one of the tastiest jugs of sangria I’ve ever had with a great mix of fruits in the Jug giving the sangria that amazing fruity sweet taste. And for desert we had a Irish liquor cheese cake which really had our tummy’s filled and content making this a meal to remember for a very long time or until we visit again. Definitely recommend to absolutely everyone looking to try something new something that’s really a one of a kind unique tasting experience. Apoema is a one of a kind must try experience.
