Asador is a barbecue restaurant located just a 2 minute walk from Grand Canal Dart station. The restaurant serves barbecue food on an asador grill and was the first of its kind in Dublin. Started by 3 friends who wanted to bring the experience they had enjoyed in countries such as Spain and South Mercia to Dublin's diners. The menu offers Irish dishes with a twist, such as a Scallop and black pudding skewer while offering steaks and a selection of seafood grill dishes.

Asador has a fully enclosed heated terrace that seats 40.

Lovely food, service and ambience. Great for light but satisfying bite or something more substantial and staff and very attentive and friendly.

The service and ambience at the restaurant were very good. The starters were excellent, especially the prawns pil pil. My partners steak was fine but mine was quite tough (we both had picanha). If a restaurant specialising in beef cannot get the steak right they have a problem. Surprisingly there were very few wines from Argentina on the winelist.

Gorgeous food in a lovely setting with great service. This was actually my second time eating here in 2 weeks. I had been with my boyfriend and brought my mum when she was visiting Dublin. It didn't disappoint. It was just as good the second time. Pre treatre menu is fantastic value and the specials were delicious both times.

Unfortunately when we arrived last Saturday night the kitchen was clearly after experiencing a fire and there was no hope of being served. However, the hostess claimed there had been a power cut.....clearly this was not the case as there were lights on and all neighbouring bars and restaurants had lights on! She said we could sit down and wait but didn't offer drinks etc. Saying the bar couldn't serve anything. This was clearly not the case as waitresses were serving drinks all around us!

While an accident can happen, the way it was dealt with was really appallingly bad. We managed to get a table in a neighbouring restaurant and were told that this was not the first time this had happened. Unless the issue is sorted regarding fires / kitchen you couldn't really rely on it for a special occasion.

Disappointingly nobody has contacted us since to apologise or explain what happened and offer a table for another night. Asador serves great food but based on this experience they really need to address their customer service asap.

Some of the best grilled food you can get. If you like really good quality meet and fish, barbecued, go here. Try either the meet or fish platter

We went there for dinner with our teenage children on a rainy night and had a great meal. The meat platter to share was delicious. We would definitely go back next time we are inDublin.

We went to Dublin for our 10th anniversary and chose the Asador as it was close to our hotel. We were not disappointed as the good was exceptional.

Ordered burgers , the taste and smell of cheese was over whelming when I mentioned it to the supervisor he didn't seem to concerned about customer satisfaction. When he took out plates which were full I would have expected him to ask did we not enjoy the food but he didn't ! Not impressed with this service or food
