Everything about Aroura was an experience! The staff was amazing and the food was out of this world! The shrimp and grits was possibly the best I’ve ever had in my life! Everything was delicious and the Super Nova is an experience that is not only delicious but beautiful. Will be back again for sure!
Superb food, great ambiance and Great service. The menu is amazing.
Honest review: the drinks are pretty but don’t taste good. The food was amazing. The service was great. They always came just as we needed them and not a min sooner. The atmosphere is great both inside and outside. Highly recommended
New Year’s Eve
If they decide to keep the fruit and cheese plate on the menu full time, they will definitely have a is a steady customer in me.
The dinner and service were outstanding! The salmon was cooked to perfection.
We had one glitch in attempting to use a Marriott Gift card that we received from our son for new Year's Eve dinner. We were told that only some Marriotts accepted gift cards-we had no idea that the Celeste Hotel at UCF (Aroura rest) was one NOT taking Marriott Gift Cards. That was disappointing.
We went for New Years Eve dinner. The cheese plate was awesome. My husband ordered the steak medium rare and definitely was not medium rare. It was almost medium well. I had the Black Garlic Parapadelle which was grilled chicken with black mushrooms snd egg pasta. That was very good. It was hard to get the attention of our server; however, the hostess was very attentive
Service was terrible. It didn’t seem that they were short staffed. Other tables didn’t have any issues.
This an amazing place. The food is fine dining without fine dining prices. As good or better than most fine dining restaurants in NYC or Vegas.
Chef Mike is an extremely talented Chef. His attention to detail and flavors makes this restaurant tower over anything in Central Florida.
Save room for dessert, the Super Nova is treat for the eyes as well as your taste bud’s.
Delicious food and great service!
Wonderful food and extremely good service. Definitely priced for special occasions only.
Possibly one of the best hamburgers that I have had in years! Cooked perfectly and just the right portions of beef, lettuce, tomatoes and buns. Decadent and fun - highly recommend the Supernova dessert if you are a chocolate lover!
Not able to serve an iced tea…
Great time outside. Beautiful water wall and garden. Very quite and peaceful atmosphere with great staff. Great evening outside hopefully they will add heat lamps for the colder evenings.
Many foods were cool temperature that should have been warm, ran out of prime rib.
We went on Christmas
We had never even heard of Aurora until OpenTable for what was open on Christmas Day - what a delight! Staff was amazing from being greeted, to every single server, and buffet servers. Food was very good and a nice selection - spoke with manager and let him know what a great team he had and appreciated the great food and service. Will definitely go back:)
Our first visit to Aurora was for the Christmas buffet. It was outstanding! The service, food, and ambiance were unmatched! They had a great buffet spread with lots of healthy options and it was so elegantly done! :)
Went there for Christmas Day Brunch... It was awesome and I can only hope they do it again next year!
Chef Mike and team presented a beautiful array of delicious foods. It was thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommended!
Christmas buffet. The food was service was excellent. The only thing they were missing was turkey… The shrimp, for the price, could also have been peeled. Overall, it was great!
Some items on the buffet were not warm. The prime rib was overdone. But otherwise, things were well presented and wonderful.
Strongly recommended place to visit! Liked it
Everyone was wonderful, they were quick and attentive and very friendly. The food was amazing!
First time there,Christmas Eve! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate! The food was so delicious, service was wonderful, ambiance was so relaxing and serene! Cannot wait to go back!
The service was exceptional, the ambiance was right on point and the food was pretty good. We had a party of 8 and 7 of us thought the quality of food was very good. I person wasn’t too crazy about the prawns and grits, but the did love the crab cake appetizer.
It was a little pricey, but we knew that when we booked and it. It was for a special occasion and totally worth it.
The ambiance was very different than we were expecting- it is a very well lit dining room. Even the outdoor seating was very very bright despite it being very dark outside. The food was great- I loved having options of things I have never tried before like deviled quail eggs and duck wings! They had live music in the hotel lobby that was so loud it was hard to have a conversation at our table on the other side of the dining area. I don’t know if live music is a normal occurrence but I wouldn’t recommend coming here for an intimate dinner because of the lighting and loud music.
A hidden gem in UCF area, and one of my favorite places. Warm friendly service, artsy but not pretentious food, and elegantly modern hotel surroundings.
Very nice! First time taking girlfriend, I had been before. We loved it!
It was just nasty…plain and simple. I ordered shrimp and grits, the grits were way to creamy (reminded of mashed potatoes) they taste like ocean water. The shrimp came with the heads detached but still on the plate so there were burnt eyeballs and tentacles all over the plate. The grits taste more like seafood then the shrimp. While the restaurant it self was nice and the staff was pleasant the food wasn’t great so I would not recommend this place.
We made a reservation for 4:45. When we got there is was very quiet and not busy. There was a Happy Hour until 6pm with cheaper cocktails and appetizers. We had the chili glazed duck wings, the sliders, and the gator tail empanadas. All were very good with the sliders and duck wings being our favorite. For dessert we tried the supernova and it was AMAZING!! Go for the desert alone, you won’t be disappointed!
Lovely restaurant, excellent service, delicious food, nice portions, reasonably priced. Crab cake and duck wing appetizers were great! Swordfish and pork belly were delicious. Unfortunately, we had room for desserts.
Highly recommend and we will definitely go back again to try other dishes!
We had an amazing first time here! We happened to have the entire restaurant to ourselves. The food was fantastic and the staff was super sweet. They gave us a round of drinks for free since it was my birthday and let me use Google pay since I forgot my card. Would definitely recommend and go back!
This was our second time here after a great experience on Thanksgiving and having Halley the manager personally ask us to try it for date night. The food here is amazing however the service is so bad we don’t want to return again. We were seated at 5:30 on Sunday night in an empty restaurant. The server asked us to order drinks and an appetizer which we did and then we were rushed to order our meal. The salad and main course came out within 5 minutes and we never received our appetizer. Although the restaurant was still empty the server never checked on us and it was impossible to ask for drink refills or bread. We told the server about the missed appetizer and it was brought to us after the meal. The server then brought us the check. We wanted to order one of those amazing dome desserts but we were not asked. Truthfully it would have been nice if they offered to take the appetizer off the bill too but that didn’t happen. Our date night dinner was over by 6pm. It was clear that the server was angry they had to be there. The food is amazing but for what they charge for it the service should be much better.
Read the other reviews and tried the crab cake - EXCELLENT.
The crab cake by which all other crab cakes are judged.
Service was exceptional starting with the valet through the dinner service and concluding back at the valet again.
Since it was a special occasion for us (daughter made reservation) we were served dessert and opted for the highly recommended caramel, fudge, raspberry, ice cream ball. There are videos of this treat online; however, you will want to experience this.
Overall, an A+ for experience & quality and a strong A for portion size.
Thank you to those responsible for both the creation of this excellent venue in Orlando and to those who provide the excellent service here.
We were seated right away for our reservation. People that arrived early for drinks at the bar were told they couldn’t & were sat at the table but no drinks were served. The rest arrived & ordered drinks that took over 20 minutes to get. We finally ordered dinner. Server was so nice but didn’t know info about items offered (size of steak). Soup was Luke warm & very under seasoned. We finally got salt & pepper to help. Our “Pepita Brittle” garnish was at the bottom of the bowl, very sharp edges, & sticky. Inedible. The Turkey & the filet dinners were well received. Very delicious, but very luke warm. The squash & risotto was not served with roasted vegetables as listed, & was very small. It was tasty, but those that ordered it left hungry. The desserts were VERY hit or miss. The cheese board was great & the chocolate dome was amazing. The added blue color had everyone saying how their plate looked like a swamp. I’d recommend removing the color, but the dish was incredible. The pumpkin mousse tasted like unsweetened whip cream with a hint of pumpkin flavoring. People said it tasted like a pumpkin LaCroix.
We finally had someone go up to speak to a manager about trying to get drinks. We had ordered a glass of wine when the first one was delivered and it never came. All of the cocktails were served with top shelf liquors even though it was not indicated. 4 margaritas were $64 because they were served with Patron & we ordered the house Chardonnay but were served a different one. 20% gratuity was added to the bill. Our service did not warrant a gratuity like that, however due to the holiday we certainly would have left that or more. Many people on staff helped us throughout the evening (apparently our server had been seated tables all around the restaurant & we were told the restaurant was understaffed). We appreciated the team effort, & even though the night was not what we hoped for, the staff was great.
It actually felt like we were there during a soft opening.
We went for Thanksgiving dinner. It was beyond our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the hostess was super friendly to our waiter, Travis who was outstanding. He was personable and attentive which made for a very nice evening. All the food was delicious but the white dwarf white chocolate balloon dome dessert was AMAZING!!! I definitely recommend this restaurant and would return in the future.
First year EVER, had dinner out for Thanksgiving. Because there is no comparison to home cooked food, I was hoping for the best while expecting the worst. For a fraction of the price of the high end restaurants, Aurora did not serve fraction of the price portions nor did the flavors reflect fraction of the cost.. Aurora absolutely surprised the heck out of me and exceeded my expectations. Thanksgiving dinner at Aurora was not a let down, dinner was excellent. In fact, I’m now on a hunt for the bread pudding stuffing recipe, (I think that’s what it was called).
And we will be going back real soon to try out the regular menu!!
