I went with two children and it was brilliant. We ordered our food and it arrived very quickly . They surprised my son , for his birthday with happy birthday dessert place of profiteroles with a candle. He felt so special. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent

We were escorted to our tables with no issues at all. On arrival to the table upstairs, we all found the area very loud, we thought it was due to the arched low ceiling perhaps and the fact it seemed thee were a number of parties booked at the same time ( we were 8 in total) but it seemed there were a number of other boisterous groups there. We were waiting on 2 further guests to arrive and our drinks order was taken, then after sone time another server arrived to take a drinks order, took a while for the drinks to arrive but one they did it flowed quite smoothly from there

Staff were very attentive without being overbearing, food was amazing (I had the fillet, but two of my party had the featherblade and I still had food envy). Service was spot on from when I arrived a little early. I was seated at the small bar and was immediately served up a cold, crisp pint. Overall an excellent night. Not my first time to Avenue, won't be my last.

We took a dear friend to the avenue yesterday evening to celebrate her 80th birthday. It was a really special evening , we had a party of 6 and everyone had a beautiful meal. We wanted to sit on ground level, no stairs and the staff arranged a table for us with no issues although I'd forgotten to mention it in the booking. Highly recommend the avenue, staff and food exceptional.

I've eaten in Avenue many times and have never been disappointed. Food is always delicious. Steaks are always cooked to perfection. Pepper sauce is nicest I've tasted from any restaurant. Chicken wings are amazing. On top of the fabulous food, ALL staff have always been so pleasant, welcoming and efficient. The staff create a lovely atmosphere whilst dining. I would definitely rate Avenue as the best restaurant in Maynooth

Went there last night, we booked not viewing the menu. It’s not on the website, but took it in good faith that the food would be good after reading other reviews. We paid 50.50 for two burgers and two cokes. I am aware of VAT changes and price increases with ingredients but even with that it’s terribly expensive and really not worth it. Staff were very friendly and restaurant is nicely decorated and laid out. Live locally enough but will give it a wide birth, too many other places to eat in Manooth that have good food and value for money

Perfect as always. Great quality food reasonably priced. Lovely decor but this time no background music in the cocktail bar left it feeling a bit flat. Will still return as it is my favourite restaurant in Maynooth.

My partners burger was unfortunately the the burger he order. They waiter had made a mistake with ordering and sadly our meal wasn’t great. The hosts was very nice about ut but unfortunately it was too late to change meal.

Lovely restaurant, very busy, staff friendly but hard to get their attention due to workload. I had the risotto which was ok, a little blank. My partner had the steak with got a thumbs up.

Brilliant night. Good food served by polite and charming staff. I don't remember mentioning our wedding anniversary during booking but I must have as we were presented with presecco on arrival... on the house. Calamari starter was really good. Lovely and tender. My partner had ribs which were also very good but the barbecue sauce was a little on the rich side. Staff were attentive without being intrusive and were engaging when chatting with us, almost as if they were actual nice human beings

We arrived earlier than we booked and we were greeted with a smile and shown to a table without any fuss… the girls looking after us were pleasant and helpful…. The food was delicious and once we finished eating we booked a table for four the following Saturday…. Keep up the good food and standards

When booking, checked the Ocaszion box for Anniversar, on arrival, we were immediately seated, wished a happy Anniversary and presented with complimentary Prosecco, very nice touch! Food was up to the usual high standard, waiter was great, overall service was excellent. Did not feel rushed and were allowed time to enjoy the meal. Highly recommended!

Our last night was spent at Avenue. We loved it! Everything was perfect. The lamb shank, fish and chips, chicken wings, fish cake and bruschetta were a huge hits with all members of our family. Totally worth a visit!

Starters were OK. Two of our party had burgers for mains...the burgers were tough on the outside and equally tough on the inside. They were tasteless, and did not have the flavour or consistency of Hereford beef as advertised. The other two in our party had starters for mains, which were just OK. The bill was very expensive for what we ate. We will not be returning.
