Azabu Miami Beach is Japanese concept where guests can enjoy an intimate dining experience. Originating in NYC, as Sushi Azabu in Tribeca, the Azabu brand has been awarded a Michelin Star for six consecutive years and is now excited to bring its culinary expertise to the heart of vibrant Miami Beach in the South of Fifth neighborhood. The Miami restaurant will be composed of two Japanese culinary concepts – the main dining being a robata concept and the hidden room in the back called 'The Den' a Michelin Star, serving only authentic Japanese sushi.

The menu will feature innovative dishes curated especially for Miami by using exclusively sourced ingredients. The hidden sushi room will feature authentic sushi in Omakase style, where sushi chefs will guide guests through a true experience.

I dined a couple of times before and usually I really enjoy it. This time was strange, they started to serve food before our wine was arrived. We ordered a lot of dishes, like we always do in restaurants like this to taste as much as possible. But this time it was like they tried to set a world record. Food came out extreme high pace, we had to ask a couple of times to slow it down. But it was junkfood speed. The restaurant normally is fine, with awesome food.

Came for dinner with the family. After waiting half an hour after everyone was done for my main decided to quit and take my family home. The staff failed at even trying to make it right and just took out my order from the bill with no attempt to fix the situation. Not the standard I expected and definitely disappointing…

Enjoyed the ambience and most food. My only complaint is that the soba are not soba noodles, which I asked the waitress beforehand. I asked if they’re made from buckwheat and they were not.

What a pleasant surprise. Food was outstanding as well as the service. I highly recommend it. We had the 60.00 Miami Spice which was an incredible deal. Will definitely be back to dine at The Den for their Omakase experience.

Service was long and the waiter forgot to put an order in but cleaned the table quickly. However, the table next to us had better service. Not sure why they rushed us out. Perhaps they are biased toward white Americans

The best sushi in Miami and equal to the best in CA, NY, and Japan. When you get to this rarified level it’s among the best in the world. Top quality. We get the best stuff, fresh wasabi, lots of toro, so it’s a very expensive meal, but it’s the only place in Miami you can get that top quality. There are affordable options and the Miami Spice menu is a great deal - they’re taking losses based on what I see on it - but it will definitely show you what they’re about at a good price. I cannot recommend Azabu more. Best of the best, no exceptions, I have had any of the top places in the world.

Fish is all farmed which was very disappointing. Not sure if they also serve farmed fish at The Den?! Food was not bad but not great. Average. I got the Vegan curry for dinner and did not like they used sticky rice for it. We left feeling meh.

Had a great dinner at Azabu. This is one of better values Miami Spice menus around. As we were a party of 6 we were able to try almost all of the appetizers offered and all of them were delicious and beautifully presented. Ditto to main dishes. Steak and duck confit with Sobu noodles were definite winners. One thing I would not recommend is a whiskey flight as the pour was not generous. Could have been better off just getting a drink. Otherwise everything was superb.

Returning to this wonderful establishment was like coming home to culinary perfection. We tried: Lobster tempura, pork dumblings, lobster and shrimp sushies and salmon robatayaki. All of them tasted great with a fancy serving. Since it was a last minute reservation, we had to sit at an outside table which was hot and humid (no coolers or spray around). We enjoyed our dinner!

The food was good, but nothing exceptional. The service was unfortunate to say the least. Delays in food. Main Server would always walk over with a half full bottle of water to refill our large table of guests, leaving half a table without water and then not returning for a while to refill the rest of the glasses. Had to remind and request it serveral times. Outdoor seating was not cooled with sufficient fans made for a very uncomfortable experience. Overall, it was overreated and moderately disappointing for what is supposed to he a high end experience.

We went for the first time and decided to do the Miami Spice -4 course- Menu and I must say, it was absolutely fantastic! Every single dish hit the mark – from the Spicy Tuna roll and Jalapeño Hamachi to the Wagyu gyozas, Salmon Tataki, Katsu pork, Hanger Steak, Basque Cheesecake, and the chocolate tart. There wasn't a single one we wouldn't want to try again.The portions were generous, and the flavors were top-notch. The service, I have to emphasize, was truly exceptional and worth highlighting. The restaurant's ambiance is cozy and intimate, making it a perfect choice for a date night. Without a doubt, it's an experience that I highly recommend!
