   I didn't have food but it made me give a rating anyway and didn't wanna dilute the overall. This is the best cocktail bar in Dublin. The quality to price point ratio you will not get anywhere else. As a bartender myself the menu is a playground. Staff are friendly, attentive and have loads of little knowledge tidbits. It also has clean bathrooms, a relative rarity. The place, like the drinks, has no unneccessary bells and whistles. You get the most delicious drinks in a relaxed atmosphere, just the way it should be. Would I recommend? All I do is plug the place

   Hands down my favorite bar I tried in dublin. The drink menu is unique, extensive, and cool. Every beverage was great. Service was timely and nice. The little welcome cocktail was super yummy. Only ate the olives but big fan of those. A must go.

    Drinks were outstanding. Staff couldn't have been nicer. Only downside was that despite having a reservation we had to wait 15 mins for a table. Table management could be better but otherwise a great spot.

    Everyone here was so nice, extremely friendly and very helpful. The drinks were incredible. Beautiful and delicious. My son and I loved the non-alcoholic cocktails and my wife and daughter the alcoholic ones. The bar snacks were a perfect pairing for the cocktails. Just a great experience all around.

    Absolutely amazing. Best cocktail bar in Dublin and we tried them all. Bartender just won the competition for best bartender in Ireland and it shows. Make sure you put this place on your list of places to visit in Dublin.

    Delicious cocktails and very cool looking spot - but my group genuinely received some of the worst service I have ever experienced in Dublin. We were a group of 10 there for a birthday celebration (with a reservation made in advance), and as per Bar 1661’s Open Table page, groups of 7+ are allowed to have their table for 2 hours 30 minutes. After an hour and 15 minutes (and only one drink each), a member of staff came up and told us we all had to pay immediately and leave so they could give the table to a walk-in. This was after it took us nearly half a hour to get the attention of any staff to even order drinks. She was incredibly snarky and nearly shouting at us to get out. A couple of us had hoped to stay for another drink, so we paid the tab and went to move to one of the many, smaller open tables available within the bar. The same staff member came up to us and actually shouted at us and told us to get up as we “can’t have any table we’d like.” I understand it was a Friday (though not a very busy one…) and the staff likely have an organization structure they’re working through. However, shouting at a group of adults who are paying customers, not making any fuss or behaving belligerently, and kicking them out of their table to service a walk-in when our reservation was meant to be longer, is incredibly out of line. I had previously been very excited to come to Bar 1661 - but after that performance, my friends and I will definitely not be returning.

    Best cocktails in the area - they promote the poitin and have a great selection of rare whiskies, so no other bar in the surroundings make these types of cocktails nor offer drinks like that - go and visit the place and you’ll (probably like myself ) won’t stop going over and over again.
