Great place I visited eight years ago and found it now just as I remembered it. Great food, good service, true Italian handmade pasta, busy but great vibe. The only difference - more awards on the wall
Great food...would definitely go again. Book in advance as it was fully booked and I can understand why.
Great staff and really tasty authentic Italian food
Pleasant restaurant and great food. Would happily go back and would recommend.
Great food and great service happy to recommend Bar Italia
Lovely italian, lovely staff, great food.
Great food and service. Nice atmosphere. I would recommend this place.
Restaurant was quiet yet we had to try and get the attention of a waiter for service.
Amatriciana was basically pasta with sauce, could count the pieces of pancetta on one hand!! Could cook better myself. Not worth a visit.
This is my second time here in a week. The atmosphere is great as is the food. The staff could not be better or more attentive. Highly recommended. I would say book in advance on weekends as it was busy.
Probably the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in Dublin - super authentic Napotelan cuisine.
Complimenti allo chef!
Cool atmosphere and cosy ambience.
Big Thank you to David and Felice for the attention and to the rest of the staff.
You have to taste all dishes with black and white truffles.
Highly recommended place!
Deserves at least 1 visit a month.
Grazie ragazzi e alla prossima!! :)
Gréât service and lovely food! Thanks for the warm welcome and for checking with the chef for the allergies!
The staff are very attentive - without 'tidying peple away'
Menu varied, food delicious with a good selection for all
Wine better value by the glass [ though not cheap ]
No moderately priced wines on menu which was dissappointing
I introduced two family members to the restaurant and they said they would definitely
put it on their return list.
Here's to the next time.... Salute!!!
A gorgeous meal for a family birthday with teenagers to grandparents. Service was friendly and helpful, the food was absolutely delicious. We were all eyeing up everyone else’s starters without letting go of our own. The pasta was in a beautiful flavour packed sauce and the pizzas were all freshly cooked and superb. We have been before on another trip 6 years ago and enjoyed the whole experience so much wanted to return this year. See you again when we are back in Dublin
Really enjoyed, thanks! Only minor comment - would like a little more portion in the main course (tagiatelle bolognese), because it was so good!
We felt like we were back in Lake Garda! Amasing Food!
Delicious authentic food. Friendly staff. Value for money, I love this place!
The staff and the food were a whole other level. Will definitely revisit next time we’re in Dublin
Another lovely, relaxing meal in Bar Italia which took up most of the afternoon when we lunched there recently. There were five of us - three adults, one teenager and a child - and the menus are so varied (and authentically Italian) that there is no problem satisfying everyone's tastes and preferences. As usual, the service was impeccably well-judged, friendly and efficient, with real Italian warmth throughout. The prosecco aperitifs were delicious and we also enjoyed a bottle of Barbera d'Alba with the meal, a tad pricey but that's just Dublin these days.
Very nice restaurant with excellent food!
Great meal with family, all specials were excellent and service very gentle and fast as usual
Outstanding meal and service. One of the best Italian meals I’ve ever experienced in Dublin with all dishes being fresh and/or homemade. Best thing of all being the reasonable prices. Highly recommend!
Amazing service as always in Bar Italia. Staff are attentive but unobtrusive. Food and wine are fantastic
Alot of menus and options was a bit confusing. Wasn't impressed with the menu selected Italian festival menu. Lamb said it had crust but was covered in breadcrumbs. Mortadella sausage was expecting sausages but was slices of meat. Got the bill but didn't ask for it were going to have another drink but got the bill when we said we didn't want dessert.
Lovely food, great service and atmosphere. Would recommend.
The staff were incredibly pleasant and lovely to interact with. I think they may have read my note about it being a first date, and they were great to give us a lovely table and let us take our time to order and eat. It was wonderful, thank you to all :)
Marco is AMAZING! He was genuinely such a nice and personable man who just wanted to make us happy, no altering motive. The food was great, atmosphere comfortable, seemed like everyone was happy. 😀
Small portions and a bit pricey, but hey it’s Dublin.
Have to say the food was so good the best Italian restaurant iv been to , service was 100% thw staff are so welcoming, I'll defo be back again 👍
On our last night in Dublin we were a bit tired of Irish food so we opted for Italian at Bar Italia and wee not disappointed. Right of the Liffey makes for a lovely view. We had tagliatelle bolognese & the tagliatelle with lamb special and both were fantastic. Well seasoned, good portions and delicious. The burrata appetizer was nummy too. What set this restaurant apart was the great service. Our server was attentive and kind. Thanks for a lovely evening.
We’ve been traveling Ireland all week and eating loads of traditional Irish food and for our last night in the country we went to the location in Dublin. It was a very short walk from a Temple Bar Hotel. The restaurant was clean and the service was very good. The calamari were a bit overdone and chewy but the panzetti with fungi and cream sauce and San Marcos pizza was amazing! We enjoyed a great bottle of wine and cappuccino, gelato, and tiramisu for desert. On the whole, it was a lovely oasis in a bustling city. A great find and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it!
Awesome, always a pleasure to have food at Bar Italia
Great place and real Italian food
Excellent food and service. The set menu is great value. I’d definitely return.
The food was delicious, I had the lobster ravioli and my partner had a pizza.
Hi there, the food was delicious and the service was great will definitely be back again
Best Italian in Dublin. Good location, delicious food and wine, relaxing and great ambiance.
We had to wait for 35 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation and arrived on time. The starters came really quick (cold antipasti) but we had to wait another 30' for our main course after. The pizzas were good and the daily pasta was quite good. The rest quite average. Overall a bad experience. 150' to have an average dinner that was not cheap at all.
Food and service were excellent will be returning again.
Sadly, the noise in this place was deafening, we could hardly hear each other. The waiter was brilliant and tried his best to help but in the end I would describe this as a place for parties and not couples.
The food was fine, not remarkable but fine. Pasta was just a little overdone for my taste, unlikely it was home-made. The chocolate desert was very nice, although I've had better much better Gelato - again, I doubt if this was home made.
In summary they really try to make people feel welcome but the acoustics were such that it was just an incredibly noisy place - needs carpet and curtains perhaps to help with noise reduction. If I were with a group of friends instead of on a date, I'd probably be saying how fantastic it was.
We visited off peak so the restaurant was quiet but we could see that it was filling up fast approaching
dinner time. Our waiter was attentive and helpful, the decor is beautiful, and all of the food was delicious. The portions are generous but the food is never heavy. The only thing I would say is that while great care and attention has been put into the menu, it could be simplified as there seemed to be a confusing amount of choices. But I would highly recommend.
