   Ours was a special event meal with paired tequila tastings. The food was the very best we’ve ever had in a Mexican food restaurant in the US. We were warmly greeted by Bari and Emma who oversaw our terrific service. Strongly encourage the items we had to appear on regular Blanco menus in Coronado and elsewhere.

   They seemed a bit understaffed even though our server was friendly and was trying his best. Kitchen must’ve been slammed as multiple tables were seated within a few minutes. The food was delicious and drinks were delicious and strong. I just wish they would stop playing music so loudly to make tables leave faster. We changed our seats to outside but it was still so loud I had to sit next to my partner instead of across from him for conversation. It’s a shame… could easily be a more relaxed experience.

   We love Mission Valley Blanco. We live in Phoenix and prefer this location over all. Excellent service. Food is always on point. The Frozen Paloma….superb!

    We sat down and got some chips and salsa with our corn. Waited almost an hour for our tacos and fajitas and in the end decided to leave as they still couldn’t serve us what we ordered and this was after the fact that we had made a reservation. I understand it was Mother’s Day but if you can’t handle the crowd you shouldn’t accept reservations. Such a disappointment especially on Mother’s Day! Spoiled our family’s mood on this special day.

    We took our 3 kids (under 4) for lunch for my early birthday while we were in town. The food was great (loved the sweet potato enchiladas and then avocado tacos) and nice ambience. Our server, Natalie, was great and accommodating with our kids. Tonya (restaurant manager) checked on us and provided excellent customer service. We’ll be back.

    Love this place! The best part is the customer service. I went twice this week and I always receive great customer service from the hostess, to waiter, to manager. No matter if I’m passing through with Athleisure attire to regular clothes. I’m a huge fan of the Cadillac Margarita and enjoy the shrimp tacos and queso and chips. Looking forward to visiting again. One last thing on May the 4th it was busy but the staff was still polite and friendly. Often times when it is busy staff can roll eyes when asking questions about the menu but I’ve NEVER had that issue at Blanco Cocina.

    We have eaten at Blanco many times. We bring our small (well trained!) dogs with us, and they sit on a jacket typically on a banquette seat outside. The hostess would not have it. She explained and we totally understand that the banquettes were newly reupholstered, but there were major stains from the flower planters and were doing more damage than our dogs sitting on our jackets would do. My wife and I both own our own businesses and understand service all too well. We felt it was handled all wrong by the hostess. It left us with an unpleasant aftertaste at Blanco.

    It was mostly alright. I was disappointed because we went to celebrate for my birthday and at the end I was charged for the tiramisu which, I was told was going to be free. If I had known that ahead of time I wouldn’t have asked for it. Not only that but my friend ordered a shot for me that she was going to pay for and again I was charged for it.

    It was Easter Sunday night and we made a last minute reservation after being with family all day. You could tell they were short staff and all the managers were serving. They did a wonderful job and thank them for being open for us to come have a great dinner.

    Extremely worthy “Sonoran style” Mexican restaurant. We reluctantly tried it one day (given we are in San Diego, home of Mexican food and this is a chain spot) and now we frequent often, almost weekly. Margaritas on point, chips on point, fresh tortillas on point (some of the best corn tortillas I have had), tacos on point, and the list goes on. We have never experienced a single letdown item here, 10/10 in the consistency department. Service is always excellent as well. Give their very generous happy hour a shot sometime first if you are on the fence, they offer it 3-6pm M-F. This is an easy 5 star spot for what they are intended to be.

    FANTASTICO FOOD, FLAVORS & FRIENDLY FELLAS! OK seriously, I just wrote a review for this place two days in a row since we went there on back-to-back days! It was that GOOD! It's in an area of Fashion Valley Mall that most people would overlook because it's in a corner. Great outdoor seating with heated lamps (if cool) and energetic and cool vibes once seated inside. The food is on another level! This time, we had the carnitas tacos (flour tortillas) and that was sooo tasty, the flavors just popped! My husband had to go for the fajitas again since that's his fav...We brought our grandkids this time who split a burrito and it came out on equal plates split with the rice and beans, so great. They loved it!! The food hero tonight was the QUESO (with ground beef)..OMG...so good, our grandkids couldn't get enough of it. They ate it like they've never eaten before..EVER...It was a hit and if you are thinking about coming to Fashion Valley, come check out BLANCO. Just follow directions to the movie theater (AMC) and you'll see it hidden around the corner just waiting for you. Oh, and make reservations to be seated right away!

    We were seated in the middle of all the seating so there was a lot of foot traffic at our table. The table felt kind of small for 2 cocktails, 2 entree plates, and 1 appetizer. Food was delicious. Even left overs. Reheating it tasted exactly the same. Service was friendly and all staff was very attentive asking if we were ok even if they were not our dedicated server.     We've had great and also not so great experiences here. Last night was somewhere in the middle. I'm pretty sure our server was new, so we were trying to be patient with her. I understand, as someone who used to work in the industry, that it's tough starting out. I also realize that finding good employees at this time is really hard, and lots of restaurants are struggling. The food and drinks were yummy, and the manager was super accommodating when something wasn't right. We'll gladly be returning customers.

    Took my family and boyfriend to this restaurant to celebrate my moms birthday and I couldn’t have asked for a even better. They made my moms day more special and surprised her with a candlelit dessert. It was so sweet of the workers to do that. Also the food was great never had rice taste that good and the micheladas were soooo good. Definitely will be coming here again.
