The main course of cheese soufflé was very disappointing. The presentation of the dish was dreadful as the rather heavy soufflé sat in the centre of a very large bowl completely drowned in cheese sauce which was far too heavy for the dish (particularly for lady guests) and was also slopped over the side. That being said, the service was excellent and the other dishes delicious.
Everything was perfect.. the service amazing .. the food so fresh and beautifully presented..I would eat here every time.. a peaceful haven in a mad world.. go there you won’t be disappointed...
Lacks ambiance but good for a meeting when you need quiet
A lovely place for lunch. Nice food and good service
Excellent as ever, thank you! The service was superb, the setting was lovely and the atmosphere was good. The food was delicious too of course!
My friend never had an afternoon tea before and therefore I was delighted that we had such a nice atmosphere...I was just a bit surprised that no one said something of an additional service charge of nearly 6 pounds, that I have to say should have been mentioned before.
The staff was very kind and friendly and the whole package was otherwise fine for us.
The service was very pleasant but the food was dreadful. It was tasteless and a waste of money
It is a shame because the staff are pleasant and it is nice place to meet for lunch as my husband works nearby
We have been disappointed many times before but this last time made it definitely the last time
Excellent food, great service, polite staff, brilliant value for money and all in a lovely setting. Will keep returning!
We enjoyed our lunch at Bond Street Kitchen. It couldn't have been more convenient and a lovely setting. The food choices were good and we had a lovely lunch!
The environment is nice - it's a good place to have a quiet meeting over lunch. However, we looked at the set menu and were only told at the time of ordering (rather than as soon as we sat down) that all of the desserts offered on the set menu were not available....we were instead offered something from the cake selection (not at all the same thing). I had chicken with a bearnaise sauce - it was luke warm, rather than hot. All in all, they need to up their game.
Lovely food and reasonably priced. Service quite slow but not a problem this time as we were in no hurry.
Very friendly but professional service and great food!
Lovely food, most enjoyable lunch. The staff were very friendly and gave attentive and very efficient service. The manager was looking after everyone.
Service poor, food expensive and average. Comfy restaurant and quiet.
A most welcome hub of charming service, delightful atmosphere and good food in Bond Street / West End. Great for breakfast and lunch. Very stylish and restful.
Booked in for afternoon tea with friends. Waited ages to be greeted and sat. Were then ignored without menus for 10 minutes. The prices listed for afternoon tea did not match their online menu. Food was not great. Everything just tasted dry from the sandwiches to scones to cakes. We waited so long to pay we ended up just going up to the counter to pay and the waitress seemed annoyed that we had done this but was a ridiculous wait.
They didn't seem to be very busy so not sure why the service was so slow or the food such a low standard. Would not come back.
Very clean table cloths from photo looked bigger this was a birthday catch up for me hugely expensive for my friend to pick up the tab ,
One tomato juice
One glass of white wine
Two open sandwiches No side salad or dressing attached
Oh and they forgot the chips had to ask and they were cold!
Though we did attempt to eat them !
Otherwise central and convenient
Love Fenwick’s I worked 6 years here some years back
This as a memory!
As usual the service was excellent, friendly and efficient.
Not so happy with our choices from the lunch menu.
Pasta dish heavily laden with oily mushrooms and no evidence of lemon.
Vegetarian club sandwich almost unmanageable with its huge thick slices of posh bread.
Never the less the venue is charming and it won't stop us from coming again.
Great food. The fish on the fixed price menu taste really good with Imam Bayildi. It was a nice atmosphere. A nice lunch without feeling too full and the noise level was low so the atmosphere was geat for catching up with friends.
The quality and atmosphere of the lunch greatly exceeded expectations.
The fixed price menu is very good value for money.
Excellent service and very attentive and helpful staff. The food was very fresh and well presented. The ambiance was just right, light and airy and the tables well set out with good spacing and no loud music just the pleasant sound of happy chatting diners. We will definitely be going back.
We came to the Bond Street Kitchen for lunch to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. The ambience was perfect for what we needed which was somewhere relaxed yet stylish, busy but not noisy and with good food. We had the most lovely waiter (young Irish guy, sadly I can't remember his name) who just made our experience that bit extra special. He knew it was our daughter's birthday so when we had cake and coffee for pudding the cake arrived with a lit candle! Perfect.
The decor is soft and peaceful with beautiful flowers (peonies on the day we were there which were stunning) and gorgeous cakes under big glass domes.
When we come up to London shopping again we will definitely take time out to have lunch here again.
Love this place especially mid shopping! Great waiters and although portions are small it’s worth it .
We had a lovely celebratory lunch with easy meal for gluten free, dairy free and egg free all accommodated for admirably. Lovely table thanks
Rather disappointed after we have had a nice breakfast a few weeks before. My chicken was dry and salad was average.
very enjoyable food, good service and a little oasis in the heart of Mayfair.
Beatrice looked after us incredibly well and made my Mum’s Birthday afternoon tea very special
Loved it, the food and ambiance was great. We had a relaxing lunch. Staff was friendly and kind.
Nice atmosphere. Some tables have white tablecloths and all tables have white linen napkins.
Food was super, service was a little slow, more attentiveness to what is actually going on at the table would be really appreciated by your customers
Delightful venue for lunch with friends. Lovely light choices for those watching their diets but with naughty options too! Have been several times and never been disappointed.
Excellent lunch and great value with very attentive staff and lovely surrounding s.
Visited many times and always a positive experience. Here's to the next time.
Definitely not as good as it used to be......food mediocre and service not great....there seemed to be different staff and lacking the charming maitre d'etre.
Really great service, everyone was very polite and quick to help. Food arrived relatively quick and excellent quality. Will be definitely going again and recommending to others.
The wine list is dreadful: much too little choice and nothing at all resembling fine wine - this is why I would never recommend a friend. The food menu too has too small a range to choose from, though the lamb I actually had was excellent.
Met up with my sisters for a 'wedding shopping' day. Restaurant very disappointing. Although we had booked they did not have our table ready. Took several reminders before they took our order. Wrong drinks come up. Missed some ingredients from main courses. Staff seemed more intent on cleaning vacant tables than taking orders and sorting out problems. Would not recommend this restaurant.
This Fenwick's restaurant has changed yet again and I am not sure I like the new incarnation as much as Bond and Brook. That said the beetroot smoked salmon tapas plate that I had was delicious. The menu is eclectic. I will give it another try.
We had Afternoon tea with friends, there was a lot to eat but not as much variety and elegance as there used to be when it was Bond & Brooke's. Service was super friendly.
Have eaten at this restaurant many times. However, on this occasion was shocked at how much it has deteriorated since the last time which was not all that long ago. Choice on Menu poor - only 4 Mains, 2 of which were salads. There were only around half a dozen or so tables taken, but service was lamentable. There was one young man who was the only one who was reliable. The two young women on duty were abysmal - impossible to get their attention; ordered wine from one, never arrived; ordered again with young man and he brought it promptly. He was apologetic about our experience and said that there is, apparently a new Chef, which explained the complete change of Menu. Woman who brought food from the kitchen was rude. She brought one serving of fries - we had ordered two. When I politely reminded her of this, she made the remark that she "only has two hands"! Unbelievable that this once lovely dining experience seems to have descended into a farcical Fawlty Towers experience, unfortunately without the hilarity. Basil would be proud! Why can't Fenwick get this restaurant right? Bond & Brooke was fine; Hix not suitable for a lunchtime venue - too expensive, cocktail bar for a place which shuts around cocktail time. More suited to an evening venue. Thought they had finally got it right with the Food Kitchen as, until this visit, the food was delicious and service good. It is one of the most pleasant spaces to have lunch in the West End, but needs consistency and to stop chopping and changing as often as it has done.
Excellent Service, food, ambience, attention to detail!!
