Jazz show & Birthday tapas
Another phenomenal outing at Boqueria. The food is outstanding and helping to navigate the Gluten Free choices by Keith was great. I’m Celiac and have had no reactions at all, this is my 6th time eating there.
I always liked this place until last Friday. It had the worst service experience ever in New York. Our server was ignoring us for a while and became so rude and agressive when asked to order. We had no idea why she was acting like that to us. She kept saying it’s a busy night like almost angry. We were even so afraid and scared to ask her anything anymore so I modesty asked to switch the server. I know all the restaurants in New York are busy, but I’ve never seen such an unpleasant and unprofessional service before...so I was even shocked!!
I heard good things about Boqueria, so I was there on a Friday night with some friends. Unfortunately, the experience was pretty average. The food was okay, drinks were pretty weak, and the service was quite slow. The server kept on forgetting to bring our drinks even though we could see it sitting by the bar, and didn’t think about giving us the utensils for dessert though they cleared them up after the meal. Perhaps the mistake was going to a location by Times Square. I find that restaurants in hotels are usually more disappointing since they can have access to more regular business since many tourists would accept average quality of food and service.
The music was way too loud, and they wouldn't turn it down. The space is noisy anyway, but the loud music made conversation at our table nearly impossible. Our waitperson was very brusque and seemed annoyed that she had to pay any attention to us at all. I think that was partly because we kept having to ask her to repeat things due to the previously mentioned noise level. The food was okay, but it wasn't anything special, especially considering the prices. We wouldn't go back, and we wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.
The restaurant was very cool and the food was delicious! We will be going back for sure.
Wonderful place. Staff very attentive, food outstanding. Our new go-to. Chapeau.
Awesome tapas，but the paella is too salty. Also music is too loud
This is a real find not far from the heart of the theater district. We had never thought to go here, nbut read about the platter of three kinds of grilled meats (parillada) that makes a nice main course that two people can share. The meat was perfectly prepared, and delicious it comes with three different dipping sauces, all of which were great. And some grilled scallions and peppers accompany the meat. For appetizers, we had a flatbread with mushrooms, which was outstanding, and the traditional potato tortilla, served cold, and that was very good too. Nice, attentive and friendly service. And we really liked the big backed, chairs (like bar stools) that turned out to be extremely comfortable. Only minor complaint is the schlep to get to the restrooms, that are located in the adjacent hotel on the lower level.
Sidewalk cafe is decent if plain. Food is really good and service is responsive.
Reunion spot for lunch. Fabulous roomy table for six near the back of the restaurant. Just wanted a couple of bites so we shared salads, flatbread etc. Perfect amount of food and very tasty. Nice menu selection. We will return!
Boqueria (and its sister NYC locations) have quickly become some of our favorite casual eateries when we are visiting New York. Well prepared Spanish classics at reasonable prices with a fun bar and a decent selection of wines. The potatas bravas are possibly the best I've tasted anywhere. GIve me plate of those tasty critters and a pan of sizzling garlic shrimp with a glass of Albarino and color me happy.
Amazing restaurant! Great food with options for everyone!
Food and service was excellent. Only thing I wasn’t happy with was the loud music. Speakers above the tables. Although quite understandable due to the area - Times Square. Really don’t expect it be a quiet dining experience. Still, you can hear if anyone’s talking at your table which is important.
Food was very good, but service left something to be desired. Multiple waiters standing around chatting instead of taking orders. My order was only taken once we flagged down someone and drinks weren’t replenished since no one came back to check on us.
The food was good the price was right enjoyed Mother’s Day there can’t wait to go back must try the asparagus it was great
The Sunday brunch special is absolutely worth it for groups of 2+. The food is delish, and the vibes is chill and relaxed, yet not overly busy. The place and seating is a bit tight. But that is to be expected for NYC.
Delicious food with indifferent service. Beautiful space.
Great chef, ambiance and food
Food and service was exceptional! Food came out really fast and drinks were strong.
My family came in to town and Boqueria is always a great place for a group dinner. Delicious food and service as always. Boqueria will always be a fave in New York.
My friends and I love this place! The service staff was very accommodating! The food was exceptional!
All good but seating was uncomfortable. Felt like I was falling off of my stool the whole time. Fix the seating.
Great vibe, really friendly staff, with good recommendations. We loved it
We had a very nice dinner with friends. Lovely dishes to share in a very good atmosphere.
So good!! Paella a must!
It was my wife's B-day and the Maitre couldn't find our reservation which was under my wife's first and our last name. That didn't make sense because they still had our last name , phone number and Email.
I've been to many restaurants where they were able to find our reservation under either my wifes or my name.
They made us feel very uncomfortable like we were trying to scam a reservation. They let us sweat it out, eventually got us a table but said we would have to leave by 10:00.
Food was excellent. Waiter was excellent.
I made a reservation for 7:00 pm, but finally seated at 7:20. Maitre d wasn’t apologetic.
Booked a table for Sunday brunch and were very well pleased. Mostly went with the recommendations of our server as it was our first time to the restaurant. We would be hard pressed to select our favorites but the patatas bravas and croquetas de setas stood out as particularly tasty. For the main, we chose the breakfast paella which was flavorful with good texture and a very generous portion however we would likely try something else next time as everything seemed to be worth the calories. Also, the sangria stayed ever present in our glasses - many thanks to Richard for making our first trip to Boqueria memorable and oh so tasty!
Excellent food. We had a slight issue with the pacing of how the tasting menu came out but management and staff were more than accommodating to our issue and we have already made plans to return.
Our waitress spilled a drink on my husband and we cleaned up most of it with our napkins. She had to be asked to replace napkins, plates and place settings. She didn’t even comp us us for the spilled drink.
Otherwise food and service was fine.
Great Spanish food.
Delicious! A little loud but the food was definitely worth it. They say you need 2-3 dishes per person but that’s not really true- especially if you want to save room for dessert 😋
The food is amazing. A true place for tapas in midtown Manhattan. Authentic, tasty food delivered in impeccable presentation. The ambiance is good too. The only “complaint” I have is about the booths. The entire restaurant has booths; these booths -while the seating is comfortable- are tight and high. Seems like they have built this restaurant only for young and thin people. The 2-3 tables with chairs that can actually be adjusted to the tables are high tables as well. Better than the booths, but still problematic for shorter, older, and heavier people.
Been one of my favorites since they have opened...great place for friends and clients from work to meet.
Wonderful Sangria, authentic tasty tapas, kind service
This is our favorite go-to place for Spanish food. The patatas bravas and churros are my daughter’s favorites.
This is a great Spanish restaurant. Every dish was terrific. Service was excellent. I wish there was one near me.
We had an amazing time at Boqueria. Both of us had the “Boqueria Experience”, each dish in this tasting menu blew us away. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Absolutely great experience. Had a table of 8, they fit us in with no problems and gave us a 7 course tasting menu. The food, drinks, and service were excellent.
