   What a beautiful dinner outside on a beautiful day. Thankfully they had availability on the roof top. Service was amazing from beginning to end. Had the espresso martini and it was so good. Food was great. Had table side Caesar salad, Uni Spaghetti, Dirty Potatoes and Bone in New York steak. Will definitely be back!

   I celebrated my birthday there yesterday and it was definitely a good experience. Our hostess and server were friendly. The food was satisfying. There also and upstairs bar that was nice as well. 10/10.

   Went on a date with my bf and it was lovely!! No special occasion but it was such a nice night. Made a reservation beforehand and was seated immediately, on a Sunday night. We really wanted to take our time so we ordered one thing at a time. Got 3 drinks each, 2 appetizers which was the bread and table side Caesar salad (so yummy!) and 3 sides - steak tartar, mac n cheese and dirty hash browns. Our main meal was the steak sampler and I was worried it wasn’t going to be enough to share but it was the perfect amount! We spent a total of 3 1/2 hours there and the waiters were so nice, helpful and patient. We enjoyed taking our time with the drinks and food. We ended the night with a coffee and carrot cake to go. Absolutely would go again for a long fancy dinner night

   Restaurant was nice and clean, service was excellent, but the food was overpriced and was mediocre for how much you are paying. Seating arrangements were odd considering tables were too close together and it becomes awkward trying to have a romantic dinner.

   Probably one of the best dining experiences we've had in San Diego. Our waitress, Megan, was very friendly, informative and attentive. Everything we had was delicious; from the meatball appetizer to the steak platter, grilled/sauteed mushrooms and dirty hash browns. Everything was perfect. Great bourbon selection too.

    Food was okay . It is very expensive , for a steak place I thought the steak would be better. The side dishes were simple and s expensive as a regular meal. The atmosphere was okay outdoor seating could be better by turning on the heaters they have .

    Our dining experience at Born & Raised was truly enjoyable. The attentive service provided by our waiter, coupled with their charming personality, enhanced the overall ambiance of the evening. The venue itself is beautiful with a rooftop perfect for hotter days. The dry-aged porterhouse steak in particular, was a culinary masterpiece, prepared to absolute perfection. While there was a slight inconvenience of intermittent waits between courses, it did not significantly overshadow the overall experience. Will definitely visit again next trip to SD!

    The food took forever, 3 hour + dinner. Food quality was good, not spectacular for the price. The chairs were so uncomfortable upstairs! The bathrooms were horrific. Better high end choices in San Diego.

    My steak was undercooked. The waiter was overwhelmed and not attentive. The upstairs bar was super backed up. The charcuterie board was nothing special and not worth the price. The only redeeming part of this dining experience was the drinks. I most likely will only come back here for the drinks

    I brought my friends here who were visiting. I talked up how fun the table side martinis were, which we all ordered and we’re told that they weren’t doing them tonight. Such a disappointment. The food was great but twice was delivered to the wrong table before making its way to us. It’s possible there was new staff getting the hang of things or they were short handed.     Celebrated my husband's birthday there. Drinks are good including mocktails for the kids. Get the "spicy" one. Tableside Caesar salad was delicious as was the bread. The charcuterie platter was tasty but could use a little more meat selection. Mac and cheese was good not great. Puree potatoes were yummy. Now the meat. Filet was nice with the Beaujolais sauce, the Japanese wagyu melted in my mouth. The trouble came with the T-Bone, there was too much gristle and hard to cut. They were very kind about it and gave him a different piece of meat and a slice of carrot cake for his birthday. It's a loud atmosphere and the lighting downstairs makes it hard to see without using your cellphone light.

    First time here and we will be back again. I took my son for his birthday and we had the steak sampler platter. I highly recommend the shrimp cocktail as well and the fresh bread was delicious. We enjoyed the Japanese Wagyu so much that we ordered an addition 4 ounces. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, but it was very noisy and chaotic which is why I gave it an overall 4 instead of 5.

    Great location for a special date or birthday. If you give them a small heads up of the occasion, they will go the extra mile to really make it a special night. Either way, the service is phenomenal and the food is fantastic. All of the staff/service was incredibly kind and welcoming, and their extensive knowledge about food, drinks, etc. was a breath of fresh air. Super great restaurant and I can't wait to go back.

    This was our second time visiting Born and Raised. We came to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. From the moment we got there, everyone was extremely friendly and very hospitable. We were gifted with some complimentary glasses of champagne and given a card to congratulate us on our anniversary. The food was amazing and our drinks were too. Needless to say we will definitely be back for our next anniversary and any other special occasion we might have.
