Brick Lane Restaurant

Such a gem! And the 30 dollar dinner special is NOT to be missed!

Unfortunately due to Covid regulations we had to sit outside in the cold, damp weather. No reflection on the restaurant. We feel extremely bad for all these poor restaurants that is why we stayed and ate. The food was delicious a do the service was amazing!! They are making the best of a terrible situation!! I applaud them for staying open.

Service was really slow. Waiter was inattentive, had to ask for menus, drinks took forever. When asked for check he told us we could go inside and pay, since he was busy serving another party. My dinner salad lacked seasoning. Friend’s pizza was good though.

They didn’t have a table ready for us/didn’t know about our reservation, and after we were seated, we waited over 30 minutes before having to flag someone down for service. The food looked better than it tasted, and was overall very mediocre. Certainly not worth the wait!

The server (Sam) and the food were amazing and will definitely frequent the restaurant more often.

The lychee Coladas were amazing! Food was great. Service great tool. We will definitely be back!

We love the food and the staff at Brick Lane. It's just a bit cold downstairs and the music is quite loud. But it's great food and I get takeout all the time!

Food was okay. Waiter never brought our appetizer but we also weren’t charged for it. I’m guessing he either forgot to put it in or they were out of it and he never bothered to tell us. Also, we ordered Pinot Grigio and were served Riesling. Not sure why he made so many mistakes but probably will be a one and done for us.

Had a yummy meal, especially the roasted broccoli-cauliflower appetizer. Pasta made to order to our desires. Kalamari less successful. Owner? who waited on us was remarkable in his desire to satisfy all our desires. Great reasonably priced bottle of wine.

Was there at 4:30. Restaurant is small. Upstairs was very noisy but was OK downstairs by the window where we sat, which was very pleasant. Might be very noisy at night.

The food is very tasty and the service is outstanding, family atmosphere.

I love this place. It’s a very friendly place with lots of locals. The drinks are reasonably priced, especially at happy hour. The hanger steak is superb. Believe me.

Wandered in because we liked the vibe — perfect for everything from foodie to simple, from breakfast to dinner, and the BLT was INCREDIBLE

Ordinarily, I would have nothing but kudos for Brick Lane. However, this time, I had to send my dish back as iy was so overcooked as to be inedible. My friend did not, but should have. When the fish was redone it was superb! So, a little more care next time will prevent such an occurrence. I will not hesitate to return. Service was great, as always.

Outdoor seating area had tons of bugs, our waiter was pretty much non-existent, the menu was different from what is posted online & what food we did order was not good.

Brick Lane is the perfect dining spot before you go to the Keegan Theatre; just two blocks away The service is spot on and every dish was delicious. We sat outside, enjoyed a glass of wine before we ordered.

Cute patio and great service. Without asking, they brought me bug spray after noticing I was being bitten by mosquitos sitting on the patio. Also gave us each a complimentary glass of wine at the end of the night. Great experience.

I ordered the salmon salad, which was delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Great presentation, with the right balance of sweet (sliced apples) to balance the fish.

Sat at the bar, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. The owner Salim was very attentive and helped maintain an upbeat and comfortable atmosphere.

I live in the neighborhood and will certainly be back!

Great neighborhood place. Salim is an excellent owner and host, great local crowd, and staff. More sports than CNN on TV, especially soccer. Lots of space for a larger group and outdoor patio. Salmon and specials are especially superb.

What a pleasant surprise! We were meeting friends from out of town (as we are too), and sat outside. The server/manger (it seemed) couldn't have been more accommodating with our group of 8. Great service, great food, great atmosphere, great location.

Everything was wonderful, soup to nuts, as they used to say.

Very friendly service and good food. When no outside tables were available on a nice day, the owner cheerily brought one from inside to seat us. What a wonderful gesture.

Location was nice enough... there was only one server working for a weeknight dinner... a few BASIC things were not available... like I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich from the menu... I was told they were "out of grilled cheese"... Really? They had cheese for cheeseburgers... did they not have bread at all? I could see them saying, "we're out of sourdough, how about a grilled cheese on wheat?" Nope. We're out of grilled cheese. We were also told they were out of iced tea. How hard is that to keep? Odd. Anyway, I ordered an appetizer as an entree. It was just Meh. I went to dinner with a friend. The company was awesome. Next time, we'd do better just picking a random place on the street.

Food was amazing! The service and ambiance could use some attention.

This is a great restaurant. We have eaten there twice, and sat outside, so I cannot attest to the inside experience. The staff is very friendly, and the food really is outstanding. The first time I had the coconut shrimp salad, and the second time I had the hanger steak. Both were equally delicious.

Charming little restaurant with outdoor, sidewalk facing seating with a casual atmosphere yet delicious menu items! The assorted steamed mussle dishes assured that everyone had something to choose from to meet their pallet desires!

Their chairs are so hard, all six of us were complaining by the end of the evening. I will not go back there again. The food and service was good. The patio out back where we ate was good but the chairs were metal with no cushions. They are also metal with no cushions inside. Totally unsatisfactory! There are too many other good places to eat in DC that have comfortable seats. I won't go back and won't recommend.

Brick Lane DuPont Circle is one of my favorite DC restaurants. The food is fabulous whether eating dinner or brunch and the staff is wonderful. A must try!

We did not have a good experience at the restaurant. Several of the items the group ordered were not available. The food that we did receive was mediocre at best.

We were celebrating a birthday so several of the young college students ordered Chocolate Lava cake. The cake was cold and dense - nothing like one would imagine.

The one bright spot was the Muscle dish. It was hot and delicious.

Server was very nice and did a good job.

The food was very good and I loved the pre-fix dinner deal. One star lost because although my server was very friendly, he was a little too slow. But overall I enjoyed it and I would definitely recommend and return!
