   We had booked lunch before a matinee at the theatre. We were asked if we would like to order immediately we arrived, or get settled first. We opted to settle, but then we were ignored for a full fifteen minutes. Once we’d ordered, lunch took quite a long time to arrive. For this reason, we didn’t have time for coffee. We liked the music and the atmosphere and the staff were very nice. I enjoyed The Brunch Eggs very much, but my partner was a little disappointed by The Pancetta. She found it too sour. The pace of service was a bit disappointing.

   There was 0 point of booking a table. I said we have a reservarion to two different people they said “tell that to the girl with the brown hair” . However we queued with all the people with no bookings . When our turn came nobody asked me if I have a reservarion or for my name .. staff are kind but disorganised , wrong order of sides as well, didn’t want to have any further discussion with them.

   For anyone looking for a traditional breakfast this is NOT the place for you. Breakfast choices were unusual to say the least. Nice if you like the healthy vegan vibe

   Lots of mix ups with order even though we were among the first guests to arrive, food looked sad (wilted salad) and was only ok. Lovely and bright atmosphere though and lots of space. Just wasn't impressed with the food nor the service.

   Myself and 14 others had brunch in Brother Hubbard on Capel Street and it went down a treat. Everyone single one of us really enjoyed it. The staff were so pleasant and accommodating for our big group, especially on short notice. We were delighted to be able to sit together on a big long table. The food was tasty, fresh and well-priced. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

   Always wonderful. Honestly, Brother Hubbard never disappoints. The flavours are incredible, the staff warm and welcoming, the space full of happy, well-fed customers. Can we have one in every county please?

    Great place! Great food. It was pretty packed so even with a reservation we had to wait for fifteen minutes to sit but great places have lots of customers and it was worth the wait.

    Food was delicious but service was terribly slow it seems they are not set up to cater for larger groups. For a mid week 1pm sitting we did not get our food until 2pm. And had to call the waitress a number of times before the order was taken

    Outstanding food, coffee and wines. Staff were helpful with everything, especially the recommendation to visit 1661 up the road after our lunch 😀 we will definitely be back!

    Food was great, service was poor. We booked a table for 2pm, the table is not ready at the time booked for and there’s a queue of 20 people waiting for their pre-booked table. Once finally seated waited a half hour to have our order taken, no apology for the delay and honestly just not great service all round.

    Brother Hubbard is a absolute must for me every time i visit Dublin. Super high quality ingredients, prepared in a thoughtful and expert way to crete flavors and textures that you'll not find anywhere else. And the staff is so friendly and accommodating as well. One of my favorite places to eat.

    I don't think a booking makes a difference as you would still need to line up and then they will look for a table to sit you. Other than that, the food is great but quite understaffed leading to slow service.

    Another lovely breakfast this morning our second time at brother hubbards. I can recommend the bacon and egg sandwich it is amazing. Service was a bit slow on this visit but having said that they was busy. Will definitely return in the future.

    Food was very good, service was very good except coffee was very slow to arrive and was cold but was replaced. I wanted to have the coffee with my wrap but it seemed to have got lost along the way to our table.

    Food was great. Great vibe too. We had a table booked for 1.30 and some of us were late and we were asked to wait for them before getting a table which was a bit annoying since we couldnt have a drink or anything even though we were there on time.

    Lovely breakfast, had the Baba ganoush plate and it had great flavour. Staff were stretched and a second tea order was forgotten twice, waited c. an hour. It was complimentary when it arrived which was appreciated

    Really enjoyed my lunch at Brother Hubbards. Staff were very friendly. My lamb dish was very good although my friend was a little disappointed with her aubergine dish. However the ambience and value for money more than compensated. We will be back.

    We have high expectations of Brother Hubbard, but the last few times we've been disappointed. We booked in advance but there was no table for us when we arrived, so we were left to wait along with walk-ins. The food took absolutely ages and the staff didn't give us proper answers when we asked about it. In addition, the noise level meant we mostly couldn't hear what any of the staff said. It was more than an hour after our booking when our food finally arrived. The kids' dishes were tiny and not as described. We ended up having to reschedule our plans for the afternoon. The food was mostly very nice, as usual, but that didn't make up for the rest, unfortunately.

    Having visited Brother Hubbard many times before, I was very disappointed this time. The restaurant was incredibly busy and they simply didn’t have enough staff to cope. For this reason, our food took 50 minutes to arrive, some meals were brought at different times to others, and the staff were not present enough to help out. I also ordered the child’s toast and cheese meal and the bread was rock solid and too hard for my little boy to chew. I would have complained and raised this at the restaurant but staff took so long to come that we just thought it easier to leave. Brother Hubbard’s food is usually fabulous, but on this occasion I felt they could not cope with their own success!

    I heard good things about this restaurant so I was excited to book it. Sadly I was disappointed. My french Toast was burnt, and my blloody Mary was weak... although the spice was good. The staff were friendly but service was a bit slow.

    I love how Brother Hubbard always feels luxurious with its delicious food and outstanding service but without the hefty price tag. We ordered the French toast and it was absolutely divine and their chai latte is one of the best I’ve ever had. The ambient was busy but not overwhelming with lots of groups and families. And as usual the service was impeccable.
