IDEAL is a restaurant-bar whose atmosphere nods to Mexico City’s 1970s through an Austrian lens.

The cuisine is seasonal and unforced, focused on well-cooked ingredients with quiet influences from Southern Europe. A short, thoughtful wine list brings together Mexican labels alongside a few international bottles.

The menu was conceived by Laila Gohar as an everyday ritual. IDEAL is meant to feel cozy and comfortable — a place for conversation, softened by boleros and classical music playing gently in the background.

los postres deliciosos! la comida está rica es sencilla, simple de rico sabor, pero nada espectacular ojalá metan más cosas en el menú en futuro :-) volvería por el postre definitivamente :-) !!! el servicio increíble*

Lovely place but we went on a night when it was completely empty. We were the only guests so the place didn’t feel particularly lively. Still lovely decor and service.

The service was perfect and the food was amazing, one of the best new spots in the city. Everything was delicious, from a martini and the starters (heirloom) as well as the main dishes (Rockot) and the dessert (pear).

As an 'old restaurant hag' (42 years from 14 year old dishwasher to owner of several) I hate giving bad reviews but we made a reservation on Open Table and walked over to Ideal only to find it dark and locked up. It was a World Cup night so not easy to find another place. Doesn't say much about management, who knows about the food, service and experience? - the most important things! , but hope they get their act together as there are so many other wonderful choices in Roma Norte. Bummer.

La carta es muy especial, varias opciones vegetarianas y los pescados, deliciosos. El lugar ideal para una cena en pareja o con amigos. La propuesta de interiorismo es interesante y tienen un playlist increíble.

Hice reservación para ir a este restaurante, cuando llegamos estaba cerrado. Marcamos al numero que salía en nuestra reserva y nos contestaron después de que intentamos dos veces. La persona que nos contesto nos dijo que el restaurante estaba cerrado y que se les había olvidado actualizar sus horarios en la aplicación y que nos ofrecían una disculpa. No puedo creer que un restaurante haga esto, no creo regresemos a probarlo. Antes de ir o reservar les recomiendo marcar al restaurante para ver si si están abiertos y evitarse asi el viaje y la molestia de llegar a un restaurante cerrado.
