Join us on October 29th for a special winemaker dinner with Benoit Tarlant of the incomparable Champagne Tarlant. Tarlant, one of Champagne’s great grower-producers, is a family domaine in the Vallée de la Marne with a long history of challenging convention—from its early role in shaping Champagne’s appellation to its pioneering adoption of zero dosage, well before it became fashionable. Today, Benoît Tarlant and his sister Mélanie carry forward twelve generations of family tradition, guided by innovation and a deep connection to their land. This philosophy is reflected in their Champagnes, crafted from 63 individually vinified parcels, including rare and nearly forgotten grape varieties. Through this meticulous approach, they capture the extraordinary diversity of the Marne’s terroirs, yielding wines of remarkable precision, character, and individuality. Benoît will be joining us at the table—sharing stories and insights, while guiding us through five wines (four champagne and one still) paired with a special five-course menu prepared by our kitchen team. The lineup: 'Zero' Brut Nature NV (base 2017) 'Zero' Rosé Brut Nature NV (base 2019) BAM! Brut Nature NV (base 2012) Argilité IV 2015 'Saint Agnan Grand Picou' Coteaux Champenois Rouge 2019

Exploring this new fusion spot, Camelia, in the heart of the LA Arts District and WOW🫶 The uni otoro toast appetizer? I could easily devour 50 of them, no lie. 😍 The vibe is immaculate—perfect for a date night, girls night out, or just treating yourself to something special. Definitely one to add to your LA food list! What we ordered: •uni otoro toast (comes with 2) •celebrity tomatoes, burrata, shiso, ponzu •abalone and shrimp pot pie - so unique and the puff pastry on top was so buttery and delicious •wild red sea bream & kombu rice •donabe steamed clams •kajitsushu heiwa shuzo - strawberry sake 🍓❤️ this was on their dessert menu and a must try 📍Camelia | 1850 Industrial St, Los Angeles, CA 90021 . . . . . . . . #yummy #foodie #food #instafood #laeats #lafoodie #discoverla #foodlover #dtla

It was my first time dining at Camelia as I’ve been meaning to give it a try. Had a good friend and his wife visiting from out of town who really enjoy dining out at upscale but comfortable restaurants. We all had a most enjoyable evening dining at Camelia. The cuisine was elevated but not overly done. Other than our salad being a bit overdressed and the fish serving on the small side, which in itself reality didn’t detract at all from our enjoyment of the cuisine. The service we received was a standout. Our waitress was earnest and friendly and a shoutout to Patrick, the manager on duty, whose easy and very attentive service, was very much appreciated. Being in the restaurant business myself with 9 units and 400 employees, I can unequivocally say that he’s a gem for sure. Oh, and I must mention the ambiance and say that it’s layered in a way that an experienced restaurateur would appreciate as a diner. Kudos to the owners and team for bringing this easy and very enjoyable space to life. I just felt good being there and isn’t that what it should be about? I’ll definitely return to dine at Camelia again and hope that others will continue to do so. We’ve seen enough good restaurants in LA close in the last several years and would like to see this one stay off that list.

Delicious food and phenomenal service! We had a delay in the arrival of our full party, and the staff were so accommodating and we did not feel rushed at all. I went to celebrate my birthday and we got complimentary dessert and extra sides/dishes brought out for free. Creative, challenging, but delicious drinks. And the Peking Duck Frites were unbelievable. Would definitely love to come back here-- whether for special occasions or just a nice dinner.

We had a great experience at Camelia. We came to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary. The ambience was great. We were seated promptly. Service was perfect. Attentive but not intrusive. Food was great. We ordered the oysters, the abalone pot pie, the uni toast, and the pork chop, which was one of the best we've ever had. It was cooked to perfection! We were too full to order dessert, but they did bring us 2 yuzu crinkle cookies that were to die for!! I wish I could order some to go! Highly recommend!
