What Insiders Are Saying
Casa Enrique is home to the best Mexican food in New York City, and we bet you've never heard of it. Time to get acquainted with Long Island City.
Overall was good, the food came out in the wrong order but was very delicious.
I went for Sunday brunch and it was delicious. I had the enchiladas and my wife had eggs. Both were yummy. We also split a delicious dessert.
A superb place to eat. The food was terrific, the ambiance was nice and the owners were friendly and down to earth.
Authentic Mexican food at its best by far one of the better places to eat Mexican food around the world. Great job, bravo to you, I will definitely be back.
We loved everything about Casa Enrique, from the friendly greeting at the door to the delicious food. The waitress brought me out a taste of the salsa verde sauce when I was concerned about how spicy it would be. It was the best salsa verde I have ever had. And the mole was perfection. Still thinking about it and cannot wait to go back.
I see why they received a Michelin star. The service was amazing as was the food. I am telling everyone about this place!
Food and customer service is great but the noise level at the room we stayed was horrible. It was very uncomfortable.
The acoustic panels don't work at all. I could barely hear the server.
Also, we get it, you're super busy. But to ask a table to leave so you can seat the next group is ridiculous. Make fewer bookings in a day.
Everything I ate was exceptional. From the margaritas, to the chips, to the incredible desserts. I can’t wait to go back!
Very loud. Service is good but there seems to be the impulse to get you in and out to turn the tables. Lots of hovering. Food is good.
Food was delicious. Cocktails were fresh, fruity and herby. We sampled a few items and shared which is the way to go. The only downside is we felt rushed. There were lines of people waiting. And server was polite but checked on us a lot hurrying us along. I would have like to savor food more.
yes very authentic, very friendly they make you feel very welcome, great food
Always a pleasure to have authentic family recipes from Mexico City, here in NYC
Had an amazing experience with great food and great service
As exemplary as the first visit. Dishes are unapologetically seasoned. Delicious! Regresaré pronto!
Amazing food, will definitely go again. A little spendy for a regular dinner so maybe better for a special occasion!
Excellent service and food was soulful and rich. Loved it!
Delightful wait staff. Enjoyed the feel of the neighborhood. Food was great!
We are regulars and have always enjoyed our dinners. Something was totally off this evening. Got the wrong food, the skirt steak was unchewable, the Chile relleno was soggy and mushy and we were told the daily specials were not ready yet. Was the chef even there? We wii go back but $330 was a high price for very ill prepared food. Also they really have to get real napkins and stop with this paper ones. A 1 star,Michelin experience, not even close this time.
Just amazing. I do wish they had more specials, but that is a small complaint. The Mole is unreal...
Went there for brunch and was underwhelmed. Would give it a shot for dinner.
We came for my friends birthday and the staff was exceptional! We had a late surprise arrival of a friend and they were extended my reservation without an issue. I loved the food, it was exceptional!! Staff was very attentive. Will be going back!
Overall amazing. So great to have Casa Enrique in Long Island City
Casa Enrique is always great brunch or dinner big or small parties. Attentive service and always excellent food. Get the mole!
Had a delicious and enjoyable first time experience at Casa Enrique. Each dish was better than the next and the drinks were equally beloved by our group. We were seated right away for our reservation. Server was very kind and made great suggestions. Can't wait to return!
The food was incredible and the restaurant was extremely comfortable with wonderful service. I will be back soon!
My Birthday 🎉🎂
Amazing food and service!! Definitely recommend this restaurant not loud where you can’t have a conversation with friends.
The tre leche was out of this world
Amazing food and drinks.
Casa Enrique its Michelin star because it is a unique experience. They made traditional Mexican dishes and elevated their look, presentation, aromas, and the flavors they are going for taste old with a bit of new. The portions are good and the food was delicious. The service was not bad but I would expect a little more from such an establishment. Be that as it may, I thoroughly enjoyed my brunch and will go back to Casa Enrique soon.
Elevated Mexican as only Chef Cosme can deliver. Great Hospitality only surpassed by the great flavors from the dishes. Cant wait to come back
Always an excellent experience. Top draw, authentic food and great cocktails. Definitely one of the best dining spots in Long Island City if not New York city as a whole.
Excellent food small neighborhood vibe. Very flavorful. Definitely worth the trek out to LIC for some of the best Mexican food.
Not your everyday Mexican restaurant. A few regional choices which is great: e.g., lengua taco - delicious mole sauce that is complex & rich. The guacamole was delicious, with clean, fresh flavor with balanced heat
Service was attentive & excellent!
Margaritas needed acidity. Main entrees tend to be single-note, w salt being the predominant flavor.
Disappointing overall, esp. b/c we were looking forward to a Michelin start restaurant in the neighborhood
The new room is great, but all the tables were cramped into the corner making it impossible and impractical to get into...even more crowded than the original space! Despite the fact that there was ample space around the banquet table in the center. Spread out more! Also, it was way too loud in the new room—also worse than the old spot, which was already too loud.
Wonderful delicious gorgeous food
Forgot our beet salad, otherwise solid dining experience.
All around great experience. Food was delicious and the service was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Hope to be back!
Good food and moderately priced. The tacos are DELISH!!!
Came for the first time and its our absolute favorite Mexican food in the entire city. The enchiladas de mole are superb. The Chile relleno was great but we wished we would’ve asked for the sauce on the side as it tasted sweet and ketchupie. But we took the skin off the Chile and ate the rest. All around a great place!!
