It was a lovely birthday lunch!!! The card from the staff was a thoughtful touch!! The diet birthday dessert of fresh fruit with a lit candle was wonderful!! Our waiter was just great!! Of course the food was delicious! A wonderful experience!!!

Paper plane was a great cocktail. Caesar and wedge salads were better than average. We had the filet and ribeye. Ribeye was cooked well except under salted and filet was good but not seared as expected. Crab cake was exceptional. Overall a good meal but not 5 star

My wife and I went there for Dinner on our anniversary and it was wonderful. My steak was perfect, her cornbread redfish was fantastic, and we had a great time. Highly recommended

Great place to eat with a large selection of drinks. The sounds of live piano while eating is a nice touch. If Char was in the next city I traveled to, I would no hesitate to go again.

We did Char for lunch and it was a pleasant surprise. I had a simple steak on salad and the steak was excellent. It caters to office worker lunchs i.e. jackets, slacks and office appropriate apparel. The staff was professional and attentive.

Great food and service, hostess was very kind when I asked to switch to a different table. Make reservations though and don't be late; some ladies walked in while I was waiting to be seated and their table had been given away since they didn't call to let the staff know they were running late. Live piano music in the bar could be heard throughout the dining room which was very nice.

Had to wait over 40 minutes to get food. It was a busy Mother's Day, but still seemed like a little too long. Waiter did reassure us twice that food was almost ready.

We had a graduation dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. The reservation team was excellent and helped us to schedule an appropriate time and table setting to fit our party. The food, as always was excellent and the service was great as expected. We always enjoy Char and it is one of our top 5 list of places to eat when we are in Nashville.

This was one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville, but it's been average, at best, the last couple of visits. Yesterday my wife and I met for lunch. To start, the iced tea, which isn't listed on the menu, is now $3.50 a glass. Many places are now charging $2.50, but when does it get to the point of gouging? Then, they are out of both Equal and Splenda. I'm told it's because they can't get any. Truly not being a smart a**, but I told our server that Costco, Sam's club, and Gordon's Food Service have cases of them. And for that matter, so does Kroger, a block away. I ordered a burger, which I've done many times before. It was cooked correctly, but now the patty is significantly thinner than it was in the past. I think the price is still the same at $16, and I realize we have inflation spiraling out of control, but I would gladly pay an extra couple of dollars for the nice thick juicy burger I had been getting there for years. The fries were warm at best, not hot. My wife's salad was good, although when biting down on a piece of chicken, she bit into a bone. Not the worst meal I've ever had, but not even close to what it's been in the past.

We had a great birthday meal last night. I ordered the seafood carbonara and it was so delicious, maybe even the best pasta dish I’ve ever had. My husband had the lamb chops and my daughter the redfish. Both were excellent. The cocktails were perfect and strong. Excellent service by all the staff.

Celebrated my sons college graduation and Char did not disappoint. The staff was courteous and prompt. They were informed of his graduation and all wished him well. Steak and scallops great and wonderful selection of bourbons and wine.
