Arrived on time to valet parking lot. No valet. Got the last parking spot. Looked like an enormous private party with the main floor packed. Noise level was way too high. Though we had reservations, we had to go downstairs to be seated. Both in our party had mobility issues & the long stairway down was difficult. I ordered clam chowder & coconut shrimp, & both dishes were fine. My friend ordered a fish sandwich that was awful. It was opped with coleslaw that was limp & soggy, so the bun literally disintegrated. My friend was unable to eat it. Mentioned the problem to the server who brought us a complementary ice cream, which was nice, but my friend didn't get a meal. The long trek up the staircase upon leaving, was difficult. Have enjoyed this restaurant in the past, but will not return. Maybe the restaurant lost their chef, & Valet's all in one go.

As always the food was great as was everything else . My one concern has always been the noise as with hearing aides it’s very loud. However the last few lunches we have sat downstairs for lunch. Perfect. No difference in view and service wonderful. And it’s much much quieter than upstairs. Can’t say what it would be like in the evening.

We arrived for our 6pm reservation on time, waited 10 min to be seated, and then 20 min before a waiter showed up and asked if we wanted water. He was the laziest waiter I have ever seen. I sat for 15 min with dirty dishes between courses. Very sad for such a lovely historic venue. I heard the elderly gentleman at the table next to us ask for change for the valet, same waiter told him he could just get change from the valet. The elderly gentleman told the waiter he wanted to have his tip ready for the valet and asked again if he would please get him change - the waiter was just plain lazy. Food was OUTSTANDING!

Very basic food for the price. The fish lacked seasoning and there was less than a tablespoon of the sauce. It was cooked nicely though. Service was very slow.

As usual the food and view are great. We enjoy perk of being high up and have a great view of Portland while enjoying the delicious food. Service was poor which showed lack of staff and attention (slow). Only one young man took care of a room of 15 people. He did not know how to properly open a fine bottle of wine and spilled it over a few times. For the most part we pour our own wine and still paid $50 for corkage fee of two bottles. That’s the low light.

We had a wonderful meal. Our friends were visiting from Tuscan and remarked that the filet was the best that they had ever tasted. We were glad that we picked the Chart House for our friend’s birthday (we know that there are many excellent restaurants to choose from in Portland). It was an excellent dinner and evening. Also, the view was stunning.

Chart House is always enjoyable. We went for our 28th wedding anniversary. Food was good as expected but the service was a bit off. It seemed to be busier than they were expecting so I’ll chalk it up as an anomaly.

Amazing waiter! He really knew his job. He was able to divert a wrong hour discretely and dealt with it quickly before it even came to our table. I just happened to glance over and see him take care it. Well done! Very impressive!

Anthony is a great server, he’s helped us before. This place is always clean. Complimentary valet helps!! Don’t forget to TIP these guys!!! Food was really delicious. Prime Rib not too fatty and NOT overcooked! Lobster Bisque was okay… very little lobster but great flavor. Chocolate Lava cake through me over the edge…LOL!! Really decadent!!

I reserved a table by the window for my out-of-town friends and myself, and we got exactly that. Had the smoke from Canadian fires not been in the air, our view would have been pristine. The food was very good--better than my last visit--and there was mandatory (free) valet parking for every car. My only complaint is that the bar is down a flight of stairs. I'm disabled and therefore could not wait in the bar. One of my friends had to retrieve my drink for me. Had I been alone, I imagine a waitperson would have done this for me, so I don't hold it against the restaurant. On the bright side, bars are often noisy places, and that noise was kept away from us when we were dining. Bottom line: I'll be back!

Great venue, views and complimentary valet is a nice touch. Unfortunately, the food was average. Positives- The calamari appetizer was very good as well as the lobster bisque. Average- The roasted chicken was fine at best with fingerling potatoes (dry) that should have been mashed. The Cesar salad was awful - tasted like it came out of a bag with dressing that had no flavor. I would recommend Chart House for happy hour and drinks but pass for dinner.

We went here for our 25th anniversary dinner. It is our go to for special occasions. And it did not disappoint. We had the prime rib and the molten lava chocolate cake for dessert and they were wonderful. And the server presented us with a special 25th anniversary menu to take home. The view was perfect and it made our evening perfect.

The food was excellent. The waiting staff was excellent. But the hostess sat us in the furthest corner of the restaurant near the emergency exit door. There were plenty of other empty tables throught the main dining area. I'm totally aware that this is not a big deal to most people. But for me, it wasn't a welcoming beginning to our dining experience. Our compliments to the chefs for their amazing cuisine and the wait staff who was lovely.

We sat at a corner window table with a great view. Our server was friendly and professional. The food wad beautifully presented, if a bit expensive. As always, the valets were great! The only “fly in the ointment” was the group of dive bombing flies in the window at our table.

Always liked this place. Great views and atmosphere. Food this visit was good, but not outstanding. The "Chopped Salad" was like a lettuce slaw that was plain and maybe marinating a little too long, just not very good. Chopped is a good description. Would have been easier to eat with a spoon. The lobster bisque was a little gelatinous with spots of oil floating on top. Tasted ok, but it was on the verge of coming apart. The entree's were great, halibut, scallops and shrimp were delicious. Service was attentive, but a little slow. We'll be back regardless of the negatives.
