    The restaurant is gorgeous. Great music and ambience. Service was excellent as well. Our only point was that the shrimpnws overcooked to the point of being hard. Great flavor. But cooked until it was rubbery.

    The grits and shrimp delicious My son had rice Mac cheese fried chicken. He ate his salad and string beans. He didn’t like the rice (hard) nor the Mac cheese. Dessert banana pudding cake delicious

    Food was good but the service was terrible. They serve AYCE blue crab but without the utensils to crack the shells. That’s was very surprising. Service was slow. It felt like we were ignored. We had to ask for more drinks and napkins more than once. The music inside was ridiculously loud so we ate outside. Then they turned the outdoor music up loud as well. Very hard to carry on a conversation. We were disappointed overall.

    I thoroughly enjoyed my delicious lunch at Chef B's. I had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn bread, and sweet tea. It was a perfect lunch. The waiter was wonderful. The restaurant is decorated beautifully. Be sure to check out the wallpaper in both of the restrooms. It is lovely. Thank you for the wonderful lunch and warm hospitality.

    The food and ambience were beautiful! We were served generous portions of gumbo and fish and grits, which were mouth watering and cooked to perfection. The outdoor restaurant area offers gathering spots with yard games under Spanish Moss trees and hanging lights. Unfortunately, we experienced poor hosting and table service. We made a reservation for 6:00. When we arrived the hostess was nowhere to be found. Once she arrived to the host stand, she seemed genuinely confused that we had made a reservation. The main dining area only had two tables full. Our server was very kind and welcoming, but they must have been short staffed. The waiter was tending to at least five tables on the porch by himself with no assistance. From what we could see, the inside tables were empty. One other person brought us drinks: tall glasses with barely any ice and a single 20-ounce bottle of water for a party of 6. We had to keep asking for water refills, but he kept bringing a single 20-ounce bottle. Our food was hot and fresh when served, but our sides were missing. Our server eventually brought the missing items but only in time for us to ask for to-go boxes. Our check arrived with automatic 20% gratuity, which we were placing to pay anyway, but the service was awful. From many years working in the food service industry, this restaurant seems to have staffing and management challenges, which sorely affected our overall dining experience. The food was delicious but not worth the trouble.

    Beautiful evening to sit outside on their covered porch. Relaxing atmosphere overlooking their expansive grounds far from May River Road. My dinner was delicious, catfish with green beans and yams!. You must try their blueberry wine. Next time we will go for lunch when the Bakery is open
