My wife and I are locals and enjoy dining in the city's restaurants. We were excited to try Chemin a la Mer. The restaurant was not croweded but we were seated directly next to a table of 7. There were a number of empty tables throughout the restaurant. The gumbo was too salty to eat. My wife ordered the filet that was cooked perfectly but was served luke warm to almost cold. I ordered the duck confit that had spots that were overcooked and dry. The sommeleir was very helpful and recommended a nice Pinot Noir for $115. The waiter was also very good. Overall we were very disappointed in the meal for $300 +

Robert was awesome and very well with the menu and answered all of our questions about different menu items. This was our first time here for our anniversary and I would say it was okay if you’re staying at the Four Seasons and need a dinner idea without leaving the premises. My husband got the filet and it had no flavor, just charred flavor. It was cooked perfectly just lacked flavor. The twice baked potato was awesome! My wedge salad was great. I also had the cup of gumbo. Just wish for the price I got more. The crème brûlée was amazing!

The gumbo was delicious but too spicy. My husband ordered the fish of the day. It didn’t taste fresh. Country/western music played loudly throughout the restaurant. Not what we expected at Chemin a la Mer.

Sophisticated yet accessible is the vibe for this restaurant. Upscale and upbeat decor and music (I love you, jazz, but sometimes...). Service was professional and welcoming and we were seated in a perfect spot to see the lights on the river boats go by. Our Thanksgiving meal was a wonderful blend of creole starter and Americana main, with a twist on the oyster dressing and the brilliant Southern take on buttermilk pie.

Way less than expectations especially a holiday meal. The first course turkey gumbo was not hot and not a lot of flavor, very subtle. The main course, turkey unspectacular, gravy just ok, the stuffing was interesting but not a lot of flavor….all served room temp. So I realize a thanksgiving dinner is savory, but food was like what I’d expect at a retirement home, not the Four Seasons.

We went for our 15th year anniversary, we try a different place every year. We enjoyed the hospitality and service we received. The food was good also. We had a great time. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Food was cold. Service was bad. My friend got a sort of seafood soup - she had to stick her fingers in her bowl to remove the tails. (We are even from here and did not expect that.) Incredibly bland steak and cold! Server did nothing to remedy the issue - no complimentary dessert, no apology from a manager, nothing. Paid $100+ for cold food and poor service. Also arrived at 11am to a lunch menu when I requested brunch. The server didn’t know they’d made the switch until he greeted us. We had much better snacks and service at the bar downstairs. Don’t waste your money.

We dined for a birthday lunch and it was a fabulous overall experience. The staff treated us and the birthday girl with such kindness and doting!!! Highly recommend for a festive occasion!!

Food was very good, but it took forever between our appetizer and entree. We had an expensive bottle of wine and had to continually pour it ourselves. When finished trying to get our check also proved challenging. We were here a few months ago with a similar experience. Saddening because the view and potential are being wasted.

Service was abysmal. Entrees were brought to the table over 2 hours after we were seated and more than an hour after we had finished salads. They never confessed that they had forgotten to put the order in. Waiter for our table just sort of slinked away and disappeared

Food was very good. I had the salmon and two guests had the filet mignon. My guests said the steak was delicious and one of the best. Service was excellent and view was spectacular.

Went for breakfast, and it was perfect-from the table, decor & surroundings, quality and presentation of the food-was all perfect. Not to mention my server who was knowlegable, personable and professional. It was a flawless meal, and I don't say that lightly.

We were already downstairs at the chandelier bar having drinks when our server recommended going upstairs for dinner. We arrived and were seated immediately, ordered drinks, and the problems began. All of our drinks came out separately and at least ten minutes apart. All of our food was cold upon arrival and we waited 45 minutes before getting our first course. Overall, the food was bland and sloppy. Way too overpriced for what it is and the service and quality was just disappointing. The four seasons needs to clean house before it runs off its loyal customers.

Food was decent and not great at all. Service was slow and nonexistent at times. Had to constantly ask for drink refills. Bathrooms were dirty, had overflowing trash receptacle and paper hand towel on the ground. Would really expect more from a 5 star hotel restaurant.

I really enjoyed this dinner. The food was fantastic, the location was beautiful, and the staff was very sweet. I would recommend this to anyone traveling looking for a nice meal away from the crazy tourist locations

Very good food and wine selection. Service was excellent and attentive. Cote de boeuf and Chilean Sea Bass were both great. Emily shared some great options from the cellar. The view is beautiful.

Food was delicious! I had the Quail appetizer and then the Duck Confit. My wife had a steak that was tasty and cooked perfectly. My vegetarian son ate the grits which were also wonderful. Service was excellent, our server Michelle was kind and on top of it all.

This restaurant is on the 5th floor of the 4 Seasons Hotel overlooking the Mississippi River and Riverwalk. Sitting outside on the patio was absolutely the best. Watching the working boats and barges, and seeing the lights come on across from the restaurant was spectacular. The service and the food was outstanding..
